We’ve got one more look at a rare version of the Beats by Dr. Dre headphones for you guys. This time, it’s the custom Red #23 Beats that were made exclusively for LeBron James and the Cleveland Cavaliers. As we mentioned a few days ago, these custom Beats headphones were presented to the Cavs, and the team loved the gift. You can see that these Beats are done up in Cavs colors, and even have the number 23 (that would be LeBron) on them as well. About 20 of these were made, and 15 of them went to the team, so don’t expect to get your hands on them anytime soon. You can, however, get a better look at them in our Red Beats by Dr. Dre LeBron James customs gallery.
Also, in case you missed them, we’ve also got galleries up of the white Ron Herman Beats, and the pink Charles Hamilton Beats. Or, you prefer the original, we’ve got the standard Beats by Dr. Dre gallery as well.

Colorware now painting iMac, iPod classic, iPod nano, and iPod touch
Posted by Andru Edwards Categories: Apple, Design, PC / Laptop

We recently clued you in to the fact that Colorware was offering custom iPhone paint jobs, but Lars just let us know that they are now offering customization on the new iPod classic, iPod nano, and iPod touch lines. If that wasn’t enough, they are even taking order for paint jobs on the new aluminum iMac as well. Colorware already does the Mac mini, so it would seem the only thing left out would be the Mac Pro. It’s probably for the best. In any event, you can head over to Colorware now if you want to get your paint on. They’ll allow you to send in your device to be painted, or you can purchase a brand new one directly from them. Of course, this all comes at a premium.

Colorware Now Offering iPhone Paint Jobs
Posted by Andru Edwards Categories: Apple, Cell Phones, Design, Handhelds, Mods / Hacks, Portable Audio / Video

With the iPhone selling as well as it is, we are betting there are plenty of opportunities for people to get theirs mixed up with that of someone elses. After all, do you really want to turn it on and verify that the wallpaper on any iPhone you happen to grab really is your bulldog in his pink tutu? This is why we are intrigued by ColorWare‘s latest addition to their custom paint services; that being for the iPhone. While it isn’t the cheapest thing in the world (but really - is anything involving the iPhone cheap?), we know from first-hand experience that ColorWare’s work is pretty darn impressive - just check out the paint job they did for our 3G iPod back in the day. To get a painted iPhone in your hands, you can take advantage of one of three options - you can pay them $149 USD and mail in your iPhone and they will do it up nice and send it back, or you can just purchase a brand new iPhone from them, which they will then paint and send to you. That runs $649 USD for a 4GB model, and $749 for an 8GB version.

We think highly of the folks over at Coloreware PC, as you can read when we reviewed their Generation 3 iPod coloring service. They are now getting ready to offer iPod nano coloring services, including the option to have the click wheel painted in a different color - something they have only started doing recently. A 2 GB colored nano will run you at least $265, with the 4 GB model starting at $315. If you prefer, you can also send in a nano you have already purcahsed for coloring.

ColorWare Mac minis
Posted by Hector Martinez Categories: PC / Laptop
It’s pretty amazing what a good color job will do to an ordinary looking device. Not that the Mac mini was ordinary to begin with, but still, with one of 20 custom color jobs from Colorware, you will be the envy of Apple fans everywhere. You can pimp out your mini for $99, and they are also planning to offer matching keyboards and mice. Check out the jobs that ColorWare did on our iPod, and Xbox - they are a class act.
