We check in with AnoStyle, the service that custom colors your iPhone or iPad mini, at CES 2013 in this episode. We're big fans of AnoStyle's iOS device coloring service, where they strip off Apple's anodizing, and re-anodize the devices with coloring that is 40x stronger than what Apple uses. It's impressive, striking, and people stop us and ask about it all the time. Of course, my devices are orange and white, Gear Live colors, no doubt.

Many would argue that the iPhone 5 is the most beautiful smartphone hardware from a design aesthetic. The black & slate and white & silver models look great from all angles. That said, some find them a bit boring. After all, Apple sells a colorful array of iPod touch, iPod nano, and iPod shuffle devices, so what gives with the iPhone 5 (and iPad mini, for that matter?) While Apple is content to provide two color options for its flagship smartphone and mini tablet, there's definitely a growing segment of people who want to be a bit more unique. That's where AnoStyle comes in. AnoStyle will take your iPhone 5 or iPad mini, and pretty it up in one of 12 different colors, making your device stand out from the crowd. Sure, we've given you a list of our top 10 most popular stories of 2012, but we figured we'd go a bit more broad than that. Sure, we've given you a list of our top 10 most popular stories of 2011, but we figured we'd go a bit more broad than that. ColorWare offering custom-painted iPhone 4 with antenna fix

The folks over at ColorWare are at it again, this time offering their custom color design services for the iPhone 4. The interesting bit here, though, is that while they aim to make your iPhone 4 more stylish, they are also in the process of confirming that letting them add a bit of style to your device will also solve any death grip antenna woes you may be experiencing. Now, a $29 Bumper Case from Apple will do the same thing, and that’s a hell of a lot cheaper than the $250 ColorWare will charge you while also offering protection from damage—however, some of us choose style over function, and that antenna fix is just a nice value-added bonus to getting a spiffed up custom device.

ColorWare now offering custom-painted Beats by Dr. Dre Studio headphones

By now, you probably know that we are big fans of the Beats by Dr. Dre Studio headphones. We are also fans of ColorWare, the peeps that custom paint just about every popular gadget. Well, now ColorWare is offering custom-painted Beats by Dre Studio headphones, and they look hot. We’ve previously shown you a few custom ColorWare Beats headphones, including the Ron Herman white Beats, LeBron James red Beats, and Charlie Hamilton pink Beats. As you can tell from those three features, ColorWare does some amazing work on these headphones.
If you’ve got a pair of Beats that you wanna send in for a paint job, that’ll cost you $249—otherwise, you can buy a new pair direct from ColorWare, with design, for $525.

Exclusive: Red Beats by Dr. Dre LeBron James customs

We’ve got one more look at a rare version of the Beats by Dr. Dre headphones for you guys. This time, it’s the custom Red #23 Beats that were made exclusively for LeBron James and the Cleveland Cavaliers. As we mentioned a few days ago, these custom Beats headphones were presented to the Cavs, and the team loved the gift. You can see that these Beats are done up in Cavs colors, and even have the number 23 (that would be LeBron) on them as well. About 20 of these were made, and 15 of them went to the team, so don’t expect to get your hands on them anytime soon. You can, however, get a better look at them in our Red Beats by Dr. Dre LeBron James customs gallery.

There are three of these in existence, two of which are owned by Charles Hamilton. We were happy to be able to get our hands on this, the only other pair in existence.
