Bleeding Edge 084: CES 2007 Video: Microvision Presents The Smallest Projector in the World

Microvision was showing off their new projector technology at - that being, the worlds smallest. The new laser powered projector is smaller than a box of matches, yet manages to project a bright DVD quality image from a portable device such as a cell phone, camera, or media player. They won’t be selling directly to consumers, but are aiming their miniscule pixel pusher at device manufacturers wishing to let their users have a screen larger than the pocket sized device they make. Either way, this is truly amazing.

Gear Live’s Andru Edwards and I4U CES reporter Nikki Inderlied engaged in a dual interview at the , courtesy of PodTech. After a couple of minutes of senseless banter, the two went one-on-one in Gears of War, where Andru quickly learned that girls really can kick your ass…or, at least, Andru’s ass.

Bleeding Edge 081: CES 2007 Video: Monster 5.1 SuperDisc DVD Music

Bleeding Edge 080: CES 2007 Video: Brother P-Touch Label Makers. Lame.

Brother showed of their ridiculous new labelers at CES this year. Don’t get us wrong - labelers can be functional, but for hunters, and in pink? There is only one way to describe these products: LAME. See the video for more on that. We just don’t see how selling the exact same product, just in different colored shells, equates to them being for certain activities. We’ll let you be the judge.

Bleeding Edge 079: CES 2007 Video: TiVo Shows Off TiVoToGo Mac Software

We caught up with our peeps over at TiVo during CES and hit them up with a few questions about the newly announced TiVoToGo software for the Mac. If you are on a Mac and looking to move your TiVo content to your computer, your moment has arrived.

Bleeding Edge 077: CES 2007 Video: Hands-on with Ojo Video Phones

We got a chance to speak with Jim McLoughlin of Ojo, maker of low-latency video phones. For $10 a month, you can speak to anyone else with an Ojo in unlimited amounts. Useful perhaps for breadwinners frequently traveling and missing their families, the system will likely be purchased in pairs, as you really have to know someone with an Ojo to make use of it. The video includes prices, but we were sad to learn it wouldn’t allow users to communicate with, say, MSN Messenger users through video chat. It would make a great device for someone without a full-blown computer, if only.
