P. Diddy Returns to Being Puff Daddy

Sean P. Diddy wants to be known as Puff Daddy again.

The rap mogul - real name Sean Combs - announced in 2001 that he had changed his stage name to P. Diddy, but started using the moniker he was best known by in the late '90s again this week, as he took to Twitter to share a teaser for his upcoming video "Big Homie," in which he introduces himself as Puff Daddy.

The 44-year-old star, who is gearing up to release his first album in four years, titled MMM, this year, hit back at fans for criticizing him for making another name change and insisted he's simply going back to the name he has "always used." Addressing the issue on Monday, the record producer tweeted, "For the record, I did not change my name. I always have been and always will be PUFF DADDY! 😊 Be cool Man lol #MMM #BigHomie RT!!!! [sic]." He later asked, "#DIDDYORDADDY ???"

The rapper, who is also sometimes referred to by friends as Puff or Puffy, decided to change his name 13 years ago after he was acquitted on gun-possession and bribery charges in New York City.

Justin Bieber Planning Atlanta Move

Justin BieberJustin Bieber wants to move to Atlanta.

The 19-year-old pop superstar has been in the city since last week and has been out partying with P. Diddy, T.I. and Rick Ross and has enjoyed every minute of his time there.

Atlanta was the first place Bieber - who was raised in London, Ontario - lived when he moved to the US from Canada to embark on his music career after he was signed up by his manager Scooter Braun and he has fond memories of the place. He also hopes he will attract less attention in Atlanta, Georgia, than he does in Los Angeles.

According to TMZ, Bieber asked Diddy and T.I. for property advice and the best locations in the city.

The "Boyfriend" singer intends to start looking at properties in the next several weeks. However, Bieber is not completely turning his back on Los Angeles County and has been looking at various 20 acre estates in Hidden Valley.

P. Diddy Engaged to Cassie Ventura?

Cassie Ventura and P. DiddyP. Diddy has proposed to his long-term girlfriend, Cassie Ventura.

The rap mogul and businessman posted a picture of a huge diamond ring on Instagram over the weekend, which TMZ.com claim is his engagement ring for his girlfriend of seven years. Next to the picture of the huge rock he wrote, "Baby do you like it? I just want to get you wat you Like ! I just wanna Mk you smile 😊 #takeDat. ! [sic]."

"It's definitely smiling. Its perfect!" Cassie wrote back. She was later pictured wearing the ring on her engagement finger in a post on the same site by singer Keyshia Cole.

Cassie, 27, is a singer signed to Diddy's Bad Boy records as well as a model who has appeared in campaigns for Calvin Klein, Adidas and Abercrombie & Fitch. She has released two albums, Cassie in 2006 and RockaByeBaby last year.


P. Diddy: The Next Big Film Star?

The rapper has set his sights on a Hollywood career and is planning to produce and star in a remake of cult 1990 gangster movie, King of New York. The 43-year-old star - real name Sean Combs - has joined forces with Oscar-winning director and producer Brian Grazer for a fresh take on Abel Ferrara's film, which starred Christopher Walken, Laurence Fishburne and Wesley Snipes.

"Sean optioned the rights to remake King of New York for two years. The film is a cult classic, and it will be great to remake it. Our version won't be exactly the same, but will have the same hard-core gangster feel. Sean wants to be in it, he was amazing in Monster's Ball, and such strong characters sit perfectly with him," a source told the New York Post.

P. Diddy Launches Talent Search

P. DiddyP. Diddy has launched a global talent search.

The "Come With Me" rapper is looking for a young person aged between 13 and 25 to join his REVOLT TV network as a presenter, and has been personally evaluating the 15-second audition tapes submitted by applicants.

"The time is NOW people, get your submissions in #IAmRevolt!!! guess what?!? tweet your audition videos for @RevoltTV now! make sure you add hashtag #IamRevolt so i can check it out now!!!!!! the next 10 ppl to submit their videos will be viewed by me!!!!!!! im WAITING PPL!!!!!!!!!! LET'S GOOOOOO!!! (sic)" he wrote in a series of posts on Twitter.

Diddy's online TV channel is launching in October and he's keen to hire the freshest and most innovative people to appear on it from anywhere around the world. "I need individuals that are fearless and speak the truth. Young talent. Fresh faces. Attitude. I want to empower the creators of this generation and show artists this is their channel," he said in a statement launching the talent search.

The 43-year-old rap mogul was apparently seen kissing the Sports illustrated Swimsuit Issue model - who confirmed in February she had split from Detroit Tigers pitcher Justin Verlander - at Miami Beach nightspot Club LIV late last month, where they partied in the VIP section at a bash being held by the "I'll be Missing You" hitmaker.

"They were kissing, they weren't hiding it," a source told The New York Post. The public display of affection was reportedly followed by a night out in New York last Thursday, with the rapper sharing an intimate meal with the 20-year-old beauty at Gemma in the Bowery Hotel. "They were having dinner together," an onlooker said.

A spokesperson for Kate insisted she and Diddy - whose real name is Sean Combs - are not romantically involved: "They met once a year ago and there's no further relationship at this point."

Joaquin Phoenix’s I’m Still Here is still making waves, and most movie reviewers are still scratching their heads. Phoenix scored plenty of huge headlines when he purportedly walked away from his acting career to pursue rap, but it was his David Letterman appearance that really got people talking.

Ben Stiller famously impersonated Phoenix at the Oscars, appearing on stage in a full beard to poke fun at Joaquin’s rugged look. But Phoenix says that Stiller, along with several others who appeared in the pseudo-documentary, was in on the joke.

Diddy says singing on Last Train to Paris was difficult

admitted singing on his new album was “nerve wracking”. The hitmaker - best known as a rapper and businessman - said his move to showcasing his vocal prowess on new album ‘Last Train To Paris’, released by his new group Dirty Money, was particularly daunting. He told NME: “There’s definitely nerves. It’s nerve wracking because there’s more singing for me, and being on tour with bandmates. You have a new concept, and it took people a while to buy into it. But as we’ve started performing they’ve started buying into the concept. And now people have expectations.”

Diddy - who is joined in the group by singers Kaleena Harper and Dawn Richard - added returning to the music industry after a four year break, some people have forgotten how strong a back catalogue he has. He said: “I think a lot of times people forget how many hits I’ve had. I take pride in having hit records that still play in clubs now. I take people on a musical journey, and when we bring that up to date, it just gets more intense.”


Diddy Wants to Work for American Idol

Sean Diddy CombsSean Diddy Combs wants to be the newest judge on - so much so that he’s offered to take a pay cut.

Combs has stated that he’ll work for less than what the show formerly paid , who will no longer be a judge on the popular reality series.

“As a matter of fact I have a new negotiation,” told British TV station GMTV. “I would take a five percent cut on what [Simon Cowell] was getting. He was on something like $34 million, and that’s peanuts.”

But we bet it pays better than VH1, right Diddy?
