Brothers
This half-hour comedy starring former New York Giant Michael Strahan will air on Fridays this fall. This Dollhouse lead-in (you can see the obvious similarities) focuses on a retired and financially-strapped football player who moves back home with his parents (Carl Weathers and The Shield‘s CCH Pounder). Daryl “Chill” Mitchell plays his wheelchair-bound brother.

American Idol 8: Finale!
Posted by K.C. Morgan Categories: Music, Prime Time, Reality, FOX, American Idol, Gossip, Video,
Weeks of auditions, eliminations and memorable performances would finally culminate in a single evening of music and melodrama. Yes, it’s the finale of American Idol 8.
Various celebrities sat in the crowd as Ryan Seacrest warmed up the episode. Almost 100 million votes were logged after Tuesday’s performance round.
A montage of Randy Jackson clips served as the dog’s intro, he who, for reasons quite beyond me, wore a bow tie for the evening. Kara DioGuardi moments followed, and I never realized she had such a tendency to use the word “sweetie.” She looked great for the evening, at least. The same can’t be said for Paula Abdul, who wore a hideous ensemble. Her clip showed her saying a lot of words, the meanings of which she likely doesn’t understand. Simon Cowell’s video tribute was, of course, the most entertaining of all.
The host then introduced the two stars of the evening: Kris Allen and Adam Lambert. The judges stood up for the men as they took the stage. Each wore white; both looked very different. The sound equipment was hardly functioning when the two touched based with Seacrest.
A gaggle of girls stood in Conway, Arkansas (Kris Allen country) to hear the results. Carly Smithson reported from Symphony Hall (what a sad gig), where Lambert fans gathered to await the final vote count. But each camp would sit through many more video clips, performances, and general hoohah before they would find out what they most wanted to know: who won?

90210 Finale Offers Fireworks
Posted by K.C. Morgan Categories: Drama, Prime Time, The CW, Gossip, Video,
Ethan admitted his feelings for Silver, Naomi got into a screaming match with Annie, hottie Liam got dragged off to Godonlyknowswhere…and the main character might’ve killed someone at the end of the episode. All in all, it was a pretty good first season finale for 90210.
To backtrack, the episode followed up on the Sophomore Prom (an event which does not exist at any high school I’ve ever known…but then who knows what the kids are doing these days). Naomi (AnnaLynne McCord) decided to host the after party at her house, a decision which led to the culmination of several different story lines.

Reviewing FOX’s Fall: A Glee-ful Premiere?
Posted by K.C. Morgan Categories: Comedy, Music, Prime Time, FOX, Gossip, Video,
Glee will feature rather prominently on FOX’s fall schedule, appearing in the coveted spot right behind the So You Think You Can Dance results show. The network is throwing every promotional trick they can muster at the series, with the early post-Idol premiere serving as the biggest treat in the campaign.
So, was it worth the hour of programming?
The opening was promising enough: fast-paced, flashing scenes at a sunny high school. An energetic, cheerleader-heavy intro ended with the coach’s angry face and witty one-liner - perfectly setting the tone for the rest of the episode.

Meet the Kids from Glee

McKinley High sounds like any school in America, and that’s exactly what Glee aims to depict. The new series premieres Tuesday after American Idol, but after this sneak peek viewers must wait until November before enjoying more new episodes.
Matthew Morrison played idealistic Will Schuester, who optimistically chooses to lead the school’s Glee Club. Soprano Rachel Berry (Lea Michele) is the stand-out member in the Club, which is comprised mainly of school losers. Kurt (Chris Colfer) plays the sarcastic gay boy, Mercedes (Amber Riley) thinks she’s the next Beyoncé, Tina (Jenna Ushkowitz) is a punk rocker with a stutter and Artie (Kevin McHale) is a jazz-guitarist who seems to embody the description of geek.

Preview ABC’s New Version of V

And you thought “reimaginings” were just something they did on the big screen…
Later next season, ABC will resurrect one of the classic sci fi tales from my youth. V, a hugely popular miniseries from 1983, will get new life in a new era and on a new network. This second attempt as a full series (NBC had its version in 1984) will once again introduce seemingly peaceful aliens to the inhabitants of Earth. But what do these “visitors” really want from our planet? And are they really reptilians in disguise?
And a note to all you Lost fans out there: Just because you see actress Elizabeth Mitchell (Erica Evans) in these clips doesn’t mean Juliet is gone for good. In fact, Entertainment Weekly claims Sawyer’s (deceased?) love will be seen again next year.
V is scheduled to premiere sometime midseason…just like Lost.

Tyra Banks may love to talk about herself, but Paulina Porizkova is the one with apparent ego problem.
After only one year and two cycles with America’s Next Top Model, the former supermodel has already been given the boot. Porizkova announced the news last night to talk show host Craig Ferguson. “Listen, do you know why I am in Los Angeles ... because I am looking for a job because I was fired by America’s Next Top Model on my birthday,” the 44-year-old revealed.

American Idol 8: Top 3 Perform
Posted by K.C. Morgan Categories: Music, Prime Time, Reality, FOX, American Idol, Gossip, Video,

“They have become heroes in their hometowns,” Ryan Seacrest announced at the top of the American Idol hour. The Top 3 contestants stood on stage behind him; only one of them will be left standing at the end of next week’s finale. Everyone’s all but given the competition to Adam Lambert, but this round of singing yet remains. Can Danny Gokey or Kris Allen manage to outshine the front runner yet?
Only this performance night would yield the answer.

The first season of 90210, the CW’s surprising success story, is coming to a close. In the final two episodes of the season, the entire cast will carouse at the West Beverly Hills High School Prom. This is not an unfamiliar first-season concept in the world of Beverly Hills serialized TV. In fact, the original Beverly Hills, 90210 ended with a similar event.
In the original inception of the series, the Bev Hills kids gathered near the end of the season for the Spring Dance, a very formal affair where they experimented with alcohol, dating new people and sex. Is it possible that the prom event that will wrap up the new 90210’s first season could be every bit as juicy? Follow the jump to view a video that’s filled with not-yet-aired scenes that most of the world won’t see until they tune into to 90210 tonight:
