Tyler Seguin learning playoff style quickly

Shame on the Boston Bruins. Tyler Seguin didn’t play in any games during the first two rounds of the playoffs. Knowing that the Tampa Bay Lightning would be a tougher team than any they’d faced so far, they added Seguin to the roster for the Eastern Conference Finals. In his two games in the lineup, Seguin has three goals and three assists already, including a four-point explosion in the second period of Game 2.

After the Kansas City Royals dealt Zack Greinke in the offseason, many thought the team was up for yet another reboot of the familiar rebuilding theme. Instead, the Royals find themselves with a .500 record and sit ahead of both the Chicago White Sox and Minnesota Twins in their division. A good part of their early success is due to breakout rookie reliever Tim Collins. The small lefty has been solid on the hill and helped his team eke out some of their early 20 victories.

In this excellent edition of EndScore Report, DV and Chris make their predictions in the NBA Conference Finals. In the east, we have the Derrick Rose-led Chicago Bulls versus LeBron James, Dwyane Wade, Chris Bosh, and the rest of the Miami Heat. In the west, Dirk Nowitzki and the Dallas Mavericks have had a long wait after sweeping the Los Angeles Lakers, but they finally have an opponent, the Oklahoma City Thunder led by the dynamic duo of Kevin Durant and Russell Westbrook. DV and Chris have differing opinions on the conference winners, LISTEN to find out whom they selected!

This week's "In Your Face" features the Los Angeles Lakers and their somewhat startling and totally unexpected sweep to the Dallas Mavericks. Chris gives them the business! DV, a noted LeBron James hater for the way he did Cleveland dirty, calls out all the other LeBron haters for them not understanding his relief and happiness of finally getting by the Boston Celtics. Sure there was some massive histrionic-type behavior, but DV found it in his heart to forgive. Of course, the Chicago Bulls didn't in game one of the Eastern Conference Finals, which the Bulls won. EndScore Report: What Happens Now for the Boston Celtics and Los Angeles Lakers?

In this edition of EndScore Report, DV and Chris look at what the two storied NBA franchises, the Boston Celtics and Los Angeles Lakers, could possibly do now that both are out of the NBA Playoffs. The Celtics lost to LeBron James, Dwyane Wade, and the rest of the Miami Heat, while the Lakers got swept by the Dallas Mavericks. In the case of the Lakers, would they trade two high-impact players to the Orlando Magic for Dwight Howard and an albatross contract such as Gilbert Arenas or Hedo Turkoglu's? A lot of it could depend on the head coach selection. Is there still another run for the Big Three of Paul Pierce, Kevin Garnett, and Ray Allen? We break down our thoughts HERE!

John Lackey had a bad outing. Let’s everybody give him a big hug! After getting lit up on Wednesday night against the Toronto Blue Jays, Lackey sounded off to the media, not holding back any of his frustration and even taking a cheap shot at Toronto utility infielder John McDonald. It was a classless moment from a guy who’s clearly struggling to be the guy everybody – including himself – expects him to be.

Vancouver Canucks defeat Nashville Predators, finally get a rest

With a 2-1 victory over the Nashville Predators on Monday night, the Vancouver Canucks clinched their second-round series and now await the winner of the Detroit Red Wings and San Jose Sharks. Ryan Kesler continued to dominate, putting two more assists on the score sheet and furthering his cause to become the Conn Smythe Trophy winner. Also, the Sedin brothers made a rare postseason appearance and Roberto Luongo put together one of his best games ever in securing the win for the visiting Canucks.

Justin Verlander throws second career no-hitter

Justin Verlander was one pitch away from being perfect today. As a small consolation, he was awarded his second career no-hitter. He’s now the 28th pitcher in history to record multiple no-hitters, and has thrown two of the Detroit Tigers' seven in franchise history. The hard-throwing righty needed only 108 pitches for his nine innings of work, and he regularly hit triple digits with his fastball on the radar gun. Behind him, his teammates played exceptional defense as many Toronto Blue Jays put the ball in play.

Tampa Bay Rays recall Brandon Guyer to replace Upton or Niemann

The ever-creative Tampa Bay Rays are preparing for the worst. Early on Friday they played right-handed starter Jeff Niemann on the disabled list, leaving a vacancy in the starting rotation, and to replace him, they’ve called up Brandon Guyer from Triple-A Durham. As an outfielder, Guyer won’t be making any starts on the mound. Instead, he’s there to provide insurance in case center fielder B.J. Upton winds up being suspended by the league for a tantrum he threw in Wednesday’s game against the Toronto Blue Jays.
