Alanis Morissette Forgot Recording

Alanis Morissette "can't remember" a lot of recording her new album.
The "Ironic" hitmaker - who became a mother for the first time in December 2010 when son Ever Imre was born - worked on Havoc And Bright Lights while she was still nursing her baby and found it fun to combine both, though she has few memories of the period.
"To be honest I wrote it post-partum the whole few months after my son was born, so I barely remember the process. It was in our home, and we built a makeshift studio in what is now the playroom because I'm an attachment parent, so I wanted to be able to breastfeed. So it was literally in and out of this room, writing with Guy Sigsworth, recording, being a mom, back and forth in my house. I barely remember it and I wouldn't say I was letting loose, but I was having fun."

Kevin Richardson is rejoining the Backstreet Boys. The 40-year-old singer departed the group in 2006, but is now planning to get back with his bandmates Howie Dorough, AJ McLean, Nick Carter and Brian Littrell to record new music in London this summer.
Nick announced the plans on-stage over the weekend saying, "We're coming back to London in July for three weeks to record our new album. It's been a long time since we've been played on some radio stations and we want all our fans to make pickets and start a protest outside these stations to get them to play our songs."
Discussing Kevin's return, a source told the Daily Star, "Kevin missed the rest of the guys, who he counts as brothers as well as bandmates, and felt now was the right time to return."
The Backstreet Boys are currently touring with New Kids on the Block as part of supergroup NKOTBSB and Donnie Wahlberg recently revealed they were keen to go on another global run of shows in the future.

The "Paranoid" rockers will perform at the O2 Academy in the city - home to singer Ozzy Osbourne, guitarist Tony Iommi, bassist Geezer Butler and drummer Bill Ward - on May 19 in preparation for their headline performance at this year's Download Festival in Leicestershire over the weekend of June 8-10.
The performance is expected to be the group's first since they reformed with their original line-up last year, and they are likely to play new material from their forthcoming ninth studio album - which will be their first since 1978's Never Say Die - at the concert.

David Guetta Planning ‘Big’ Usher Song

David Guetta is working on a "really big" song with Usher.
The French DJ - who is renowned for his collaborations with the likes of Nicki Minaj, Jennifer Hudson and Flo Rida - has confirmed the pair are already planning to work together again after their success with "Without You."
"These are really big records we are working on right now. It's really crazy," he told The Hollywood Reporter. Although he would not give any more details, he added the song was "something really, really, really crazy."
Discussing the future direction of his work, David revealed it was likely he would do something with a bit more of an "underground" sound to it: "Lately I've been focusing more on making straight club beats, a little more underground. I'm gonna start meeting artists because me being in Los Angeles, there's a lot of talent here. There's always something happening. Every time I come to Los Angeles it's so tempting. You go into a studio and it's like, 'Oh, you're here?' and you meet so many people."

30 Seconds to Mars Inspired by India

	Alternative rock band
30 Seconds to Mars' new album is inspired by India. Frontman Jared Leto has recently been to the Asian country and was inspired by what he saw there to write new songs.
"I was recording in India, and had an amazing experience over there, and came back with some really great material. And not so much that this is a World Beat record, it's more about the experiences and how they're influencing me in creative terms, emotional terms," he told MTV News.
Jared also told how one impromptu recording session saw him joined by a gang of local children: "There was one afternoon that we climbed up above a city called Jodhpur, we were on a cliff with a 2000-year-old fortress behind us. So it was about sunset, and I had a portable set up, so we started recording. I had an external speaker, and the kids started to hear this song I was working on. So they started climbing out onto the rooftops of the city, and soon they were scrambling up the side of this mountain, and before we knew it, we were surrounded by dozens of these amazing Indian kids, singing and dancing along to this recording process. It was really mind-blowing."

Lil Wayne is releasing an album of love songs.
The "Lollipop" rapper may reveal his tender side on the record - to be titled Devol - which was written when he was in jail on Riker's Island, New York, in 2010.
"I was recording an album called Devol, spelled D-E-V-O-L, 'cause that's 'loved' spelled backwards. It's all material I did when I was locked up," he told MTV News.
However, Wayne warned the tracks are not likely to be traditional ballads, but his own take on the love theme: "What I mean by my version of love songs is meaning they're not saying, 'I love you.'"
Wayne - real name Dwayne Carter - served eight months for attempted weapon possession in 2010, and since his release has put out two albums, I Am Not a Human Being, and Tha Carter IV.

Green Day are releasing a trilogy of albums.
The American Idiot pop-punk group claim to have had the most prolific period of creativity in their career, and are lining up the albums, titled ¡Uno!, ¡Dos! and ¡Tré! for release in September 25, November 13 and next January 15 respectively.
"This is the best music we've ever written, and the songs just keep coming. Instead of making one album, we are making a three album trilogy. Every song has the power and energy that represents Green Day on all emotional levels. We just can't help ourselves. We are going epic as f**k!" the band said in a statement.
The band - Bille Joe Armstrong, Mike Dirnt and Tre Cool - have been recording in their hometown of Oakland, California with producer Rob Cavallo, who worked with them on 2004's American Idiot.

Kanye West Addresses Kardashian in New Track

Kanye West has addressed Kim Kardashian and Amber Rose in a new track.
The rapper teamed with DJ Khaled for "Theraflu" in which he talks about Kim - whom he is rumored to have dated - and her ex-husband, basketball star Kris Humphries, who plays for the New Jersey Jets, part-owned by Kanye's friend and collaborator Jay-Z.
"I admit I fell in love with Kim / Around the same time she fell in love with him / Well that's cool baby girl / Do your thing / Lucky I ain't had Jay drop him from the team," he says in the second verse.
In another couplet he addresses his ex-girlfriend model Amber, who is now dating rapper Wiz Khalifa. "The whole industry wanna f**k ya old chick/ Only n***a I got respect for is Wiz," Kanye rhymes.
It is not clear if the song will be released as part of Kanye's forthcoming G.O.O.D. Music Compilation album, of tracks by artists from his label, or another project. Kanye is also preparing for another single release, of a track called "Mercy," tomorrow, which features him alongside Pusha T, Big Sean and 2 Chainz and is lined up with inclusion on the G.O.O.D. Music record.
