Idris ElbaIdris Elba has directed a new short film for a track produced by Dutch DJ R3hab.

The actor chose to work on the promo for the song "Unstoppable," featuring Eva Simons, which will be included on the Pepsi Max Beats of the Beautiful Game album to celebrate the World Cup this year, because he loved the idea of being unstoppable. Idris, who has also achieved success as a DJ, said, "When I first heard the song I really loved the idea of being unstoppable ... it's self belief, its someone that just says, 'Guess what? I can do anything I want to do.'"

The six-minute video (seen after the jump) is set in the 1970s and features a group of teenagers on a school bus, outlining "the nerd," "the lads" and "the popular girls," who are all in different social circles. The promo tackles bullying and eventually shows the school nerd throwing away his glasses, standing up for himself and showing off his skills in a game of football as the girls watch one.

Miley CyrusMiley Cyrus and Britney Spears' raunchy music videos have been banned from daytime television in France.

The country's broadcasting watchdog Conseil Superieur de l'Audiovisuel (CSA) has ruled that channels can only show Miley's "Wrecking Ball" and Britney's "Work B***h" videos after a 10pm watershed.

According to CSA, the "Wrecking Ball" promo, which shows Miley swinging naked on a demolition ball and licking a sledge hammer is too sexually explicit. The "Work B***h" video, which shows Britney in bondage dress portrays "a sadomasochistic universe representing women in a way that risks shocking many viewers."

The watchdog said that some French TV channels were showing the videos in the daytime without parental guidance warnings, according to Sky News.

BeyonceBeyonce was "really nervous" about the surprise release of her self-titled LP.

The "Drunk in Love" singer, who is celebrating selling more than one million copies of her fifth studio record, admits it was a "huge risk" releasing it without any prior promotion. She answered fans' questions via her Instagram account at the weekend at a screening for the record's accompanying music videos.

"I was terrified. I was so scared. I already envisioned like the worst things that could happen. Honestly, I was at a point where I felt like, you know, everything feels the same. That's how I felt and if I could not challenge that, then maybe it's time for me to do something else or develop more artists, which is something I want to do," she posted. "I just hope that I continue to move forward and challenge myself, and I think now that I've become a mother, I just want my legacy to inspire people."

Meanwhile, retailers such as Amazon and American company Target are refusing to stock Beyonce after it was released exclusively on iTunes. The digital giant were given a one week exclusive window to sell the 14-song, 17-video album, which features contributions from Drake, Jay Z and Justin Timberlake.

Katy Perry and John MayerKaty Perry thinks her music video with boyfriend John Mayer is more authentic than Kanye West's "Bound 2."

The "Roar" hitmaker, who joined forces with John on the song "Who You Love," made the comparison about Kanye's latest music video which features his fiancee Kim Kardashian straddling him topless on a motorcycle.

"I thought our response was a little bit more authentic because my hair was blowing in the right direction," the 29-year-old singer joked, speaking on The Ellen DeGeneres Show.

The song appears on John's latest album Paradise Valley and Katy thinks their relationship works so well because they have a mutual appreciation for music. "Yeah we have a lot of fun. You know, we have music as an understanding and love between each other and we connect and you know it's like he understands what I do because he does the same thing. And so after a long day, if it's been tough, I don't really have to go into it, he just gets it. You know, so it's nice with that understanding," she continued.

John Mayer and Katy PerryKaty Perry joined John Mayer on stage for a surprise appearance in Brooklyn.

The "Roar" hitmaker and her boyfriend sang their duet "Who You Love" from John's latest album Paradise Valley. They performed together on Tuesday at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn and even managed to sneak in a few kisses at the beginning of the song.

Hours before John, 36, and Katy, 29, sat down on Good Morning America for their first joint interview and premiered the music video for "Who You Love," which saw the couple kiss and embrace. John was initially hesitant to feature Katy on the track, saying, "My first thought was, 'You can't do that' and then the more I thought about just the music part of it, it made perfect sense. Even if I didn't know Katy, it would have made perfect sense.... For me it always had to be about the song ... It's a pretty big moving target to be a couple and have a song but I think there's an authenticity to it when you hear it."

Katy said about her duet with John, "It transcends us. It's more about the message of the song."

BeyonceBeyonce's surprise fifth album has become the fastest-selling record in iTunes history.

The self-titled record, which was released without any warning last week, shifting 828,773 copies in just three days. The majority of those sales came from America, where it has racked up 617,213 sales since Friday.

Beyonce's own first-week sales record was also broken, after her 2006 second record B'day sold 541,000 copies in seven days.

The "Love On Top" hitmaker stealth-released the record exclusively on iTunes, shocking fans by unveiling 14 new songs and 17 videos without any promotion.

The 31-year-old said she was inspired by Michael Jackson's Thriller video premiere in 1983, which is why she made such a "visual" record: "I miss that immersive experience. Now people only listen to a few seconds of a song on their iPods and they don't really invest in the whole experience. It's all about the single, and the hype. I felt like, I don't want anybody to get the message when my record is coming out. I just want this to come out when it's ready and from me to my fans."
