Kanye West Raps About Kim’s Sex Tape

Kanye West raps about Kim Kardashian's sex tape in his new song.
The "Stronger" rapper - who has been dating the reality TV star for around five months - appears to make reference to Kim's infamous 2007 tape in latest track "Clique." The song - which was leaked to gossip website TMZ.com and will be featured on his album Cruel Summer - includes the line, "Eat breakfast at Gucci. My girl a superstar all from a home movie."
The sex tape stars Kim and her Kardashian and ex-boyfriend Ray J, and after it was leaked online, the 31-year-old socialite became a huge star. While he is singing about the sex tape, it was recently claimed Kanye - who has known Kim for four years - had refused to watch it.
"For all his bad-boy image, he's quite old-fashioned and [while they were still just friends] he thought it inappropriate to view Kim's tape. Now that they are a couple, there's no way Kanye's ever going to look at it," a source said.

The "Paint it Black" group's incredible adventures from key periods in their career will be shown in the movie right from the early 1960s when they were blues-obsessed teenagers to the release of 1972's seminal Exile On Main Street and up to the present day.

Seth MacFarlane Releasing Album

Posted by Andru Edwards Categories: Collaborations, Upcoming Releases, Blues,
Family Guy creator Seth MacFarlane is releasing an album.
The cartoonist's debut, "Music Is Better Than Words," sees him sing a number of 40s and 50s big band tracks, including teaming up for duets with artists including Norah Jones and Sara Bareilles.
"It's rare in this day and age to have the opportunity to create an album that celebrates the classic, sophisticated sound of rich, lush swing orchestrations. It was an absolute joy to sing this music," Seth said.
In addition to show tunes, Seth - whose comedies also include American Dad! and The Cleveland Show - also recorded some newer material, including the song "She's Wonderful Too," originally written by film and television composer Joel McNeely, but with additional lyrics and melodies by Seth.

Lady Gaga Releasing a New Single

Posted by Andru Edwards Categories: Artist News, Collaborations, Upcoming Releases, Hip-Hop & Rap, Pop,
Lady Gaga is releasing a new track, "Partynauseous," next month. The song is a collaboration between the "Born This Way" hitmaker and rap star Kendrick Lamar.
"I am so excited to announce that a record I've been working on has now become a collaboration with Kendrick Lamar for HIS ALBUM (sic). Kendrick Lamar and I are dropping the record September 6. It's called 'Partynauseous,'" she wrote on her Twitter.
Gaga explained her part of the song is based on an incident earlier this year, when she was banned from performing in Jakarta, Indonesia, on her "Born This Way Ball" tour after hardline extremists in the Muslim country complained her sexy clothes and dance routines would corrupt young people. "I wrote 'PARTYNAUSEOUS' about Jakarta, and my relationship with that country (sic). Wishing I could 'get high with the enemy' and make peace (sic). Once @kendricklamar + I started talking about life + his forward thinking views about love + hip hop, the song became something more (sic)," she added.

Muse Can’t Be Defined

Posted by Andru Edwards Categories: Collaborations, Upcoming Releases, Alternative, Electronic, Pop, Rock,
Muse "can't be defined." The "Survival" group are proud of the eclectic nature of their forthcoming new album, The 2nd Law, and say the tracks could easily be mistaken for three different bands.
"We are defined by the fact that we can't be defined by anybody. There are electro-pop sounds and songs that are obviously classic rock. Then there are the orchestral things. [The album would sound like] three different bands if it wasn't for my voice," frontman Matt Bellamy said.
The band did a lot of work on the album with David Campbell - who has previously arranged and conducted music for Metallica and Beck - and were thrilled with his overdubs. "He understood that film-music thing we were looking for. And he found a lot of amazing people," Matt told Rolling Stone.
Some tracks on the album were inspired by a show Matt watched on economics, when he saw experts discussing the second law of thermodynamics.

‘Caged Lion’ Alicia Keys

Posted by Andru Edwards Categories: Artist News, Upcoming Releases, Pop, R&B / Soul,
Alicia Keys felt like a "caged lion" before starting new album Girl on Fire.
The "New Day" singer had lots of tension built up inside her before she started work on her fifth record, which she is now releasing in the studio. "I'm in the studio right now working away on my new album and I am SO excited!!! I'm ignited!!! I'm like a match to a flame! Before making this record, in some ways I felt like a lion locked in a cage... I felt like a girl misunderstood that no one really knew, I felt like it was time to stop making excuses for any part of my life that I wanted to change. Once I made that choice I became a Girl on Fire, the lion broke free!! (sic)" she wrote on her site.
Alicia mostly recorded the album in her hometown, New York, but traveled to other locations to meet with collaborators. "During the recording process, I mostly stayed in NY but on some cool and memorable occasions, I traveled to different places, and worked with many collaborators, (some old friends, some new).

Eminem Never Stops Working

Posted by Andru Edwards Categories: Artist News, Gossip, Upcoming Releases, Hip-Hop & Rap,
Eminem is a "work horse."
The "Real Slim Shady" rapper - whose real name is Marshall Mathers - recently confirmed he has begun work on his eighth solo album and his friend and collaborator Royce Da 5'9'' wouldn't be surprised if the record is already close to being completed.
"Marshall is the type that never really stops recording, so when you get in the studio he's in the back room where the booth is and the door is locked. Nobody's allowed back there, nobody ever knows what he's doing. All I know is that he's constantly working, so if he told me that he had an album ready right now, I would believe him because he's like a work horse. He works every day," Royce told MTV News.
Eminem has been working with Royce's band Slaughterhouse - who are signed to his Shady Records label - on their album Welcome to: Our House but revealed recently he is now ready to focus fully on the follow-up to his 2010 record Recovery: "I've actually kinda just started. I've been on the move a little bit too, so in between things, I sneak songs in here and there. We actually just finished the [Slaughterhouse] album last week ... Now I've got time to be able to start doing things for my own project."

No Doubt Makes the Album of Their Lives

Posted by Andru Edwards Categories: Reunions, Upcoming Releases, Alternative, Pop, Reggae, Rock,
No Doubt have made "the album of our lives." The "Don't Speak" hitmakers are confident their first record in eleven years, Push and Shove, is worth the wait and are "so proud" of the finished product.
"We would've loved for it to come out sooner. At the same time, we realized the people that care about us, that have given us our lives, are out there waiting for us, so what does it matter if it's a month here or a month there? As long as we make the record of our lives that we are so proud of. Otherwise, why put something out?" singer Gwen Stefani told Billboard.
The band credit their 2009 reunion tour with giving them the confidence and inspiration to return to the studio, as they realized their solid fan base was willing to stick by them. "We had writer's block up until that point. When we did that tour, it was the waking of the dead. Not only did we get our confidence back, on top of that it gave us the feeling of not needing to rush. All these amazing people were still coming out to see us, so we thought, 'Let's make the best record we can make now.' We wouldn't have this record if we didn't do that tour," bassist Tony Kanal added.
