This was the price he paid after winning a Sotheby’s auction for Bob Dylan’s handwritten lyrics to “The Times They Are A-Changin’.”

The paper itself is ragged and roughed up, filled with crossed-out words and changes.

Imagine people across the universe being able to purchase music from on iTunes. That could happen very soon if a report from the Wall Street Journal is correct.

According to the newspaper, a deal might have finally been struck between Apple Inc., parties representing the Fab Four and record label EMI.

Although the band members – creators of Apple Corps Ltd. – and the computer company have long disputed over the “Apple” name, “people familiar with the situation” claim an agreement has been reached over the Beatles’ catalogue.

These same people also warn that Apple Inc. “could change plans at the last minute.”

It’s believed the new deal will be formally announced at a press conference scheduled for Tuesday.

Caleb Followill

“I hate f**king hipsters. Everyone talks about indie this and indie that, but would you really want to be one of those indie bands that makes two albums and disappears? That’s just sad. ... When we signed on with our manager, we all said we wanted to have a box-set career. We’ll gladly be the next generation of bands that aren’t going anywhere.”

Although I doubt Fergie would ever have to drug a man to get him back to her room, that's exactly what she does in this new music video.

In this clip for "Beautiful Dangerous," the Black Eyed Peas singer arms herself a knife, ropes and very little clothing to keep the ex–Guns N' Roses guitarist exactly where she wants him.

The song is just one of many collaborations on Slash's self-titled album.

After watching the video, let us know what you think of Fergie's acting -- and musical -- performance. Do you like seeing/hearing this side of her?

PrincePrince is set to headline next year's Glastonbury festival.

The "Purple Rain" hitmaker has reportedly taken one of the top slots at the UK music festival -- one of Europe's largest -- with U2 and Coldplay also being lined up by organizer Michael Eavis.

"Michael was very keen to get the line-up sorted early and is over the moon at securing such massive acts. He is a huge fan of Prince and has been trying to nab him for years," a source told The Sun. "The fact it's been tied up so quickly is a big, but welcome, shock."

Rockers U2 were forced to pull out of their first-ever appearance at Glastonbury earlier this year after frontman Bono injured his back. Cartoon-led pop band Gorillaz stepped in to replace the band as headliners at the last minute.

“I said, ‘Listen, I have two requests—good lighting and a warm room. That’s all I’m asking for. If I’m walking out with it all f**king hanging out there for the world to see then, well, I need good lighting and a warm room ... I didn’t eat for a day and I did about 2,000 sit-ups.”
