The Killers

The Killers are "desperate" to perform live.

The "Mr. Brightside" hitmakers are currently working on the follow-up to 2008's Day and Age - which has the working title of Battle Born - and can't wait to show off their new songs. "These songs are so good I'm just desperate to play some shows. I'd play the opening of a 7-eleven at this point," said drummer Ronnie Vanucci Jr.

LabrinthLabrinth wants to collaborate with Dave Grohl and Bjork.

The "Express Yourself" hitmaker is a huge fan of both the Foo Fighters frontman and the eccentric singer and says it would be a dream to work with them: "The people I want to collaborate with most are Foo Fighters singer Dave Grohl and Bjork. Dave was the coolest guy ever when I met him. I've gotten every single girl I've ever wanted, so when I say 'I want Bjork,' I've just got to get that girl."

Labrinth - real name Timothy McKenzie - also revealed how music is his first love as he gets so much enjoyment from making new songs:

"Music is everything to me. I love creating and being a producer but I'm still developing into the sort of artist I want to be. I'm schizophrenic when I make music. One moment I want to make rock, the next it's club music. It's very hard to stick to one thing. It burns that the record industry makes me focus on just one thing because I have a very short attention span."

No Doubt

No Doubt will make their live comeback at the 2012 Teen Choice Awards. The "Don't Speak" band will unveil their new single at the event on July 22.

The performance will be the first from the group in a year and a half, and the first time they will ever play their new track - the name of which hasn't been announced - live. "I can't believe this is actually happening. The idea of playing our new music live is heaven on earth. Can't wait to share it!" singer Gwen Stefani said.

Florence WelchFlorence Welch says having David LaChapelle direct her new video was a dream come true.

The Florence + The Machine singer is a lifelong fan of the acclaimed artist, director and photographer and had "fantasized" from the minute she wrote "Spectrum" that he would work with her on the promotional film to accompany the track.

"It was a complete dream to work with David LaChapelle. I collected his books as a teenager, and I fantasized that he would direct the video for 'Spectrum' from the moment the song was written. I still cant believe it actually happened, and I'm completely overjoyed that he felt such a connection with the song," said Florence, who appears in the video as an Egyptian queen presiding over a troupe of ballerinas.

The admiration is mutual as David - who co-directed the video with John Byrne - hailed the track as a "modern classic" that allowed him to create a visual spectacular.

SlashGuns N' Roses' classic line up will never reunite.

The definitive incarnation of the group - guitarists Slash and Izzy Stradlin, singer Axl Rose, bassist Duff McKagan and drummer Steven Adler - were given the opportunity to appear together as they were inducted to the Rock 'n' Roll Hall of Fame earlier this year, but after Axl declined to show up, Slash has drawn a line under the idea once and for all.

"That last Rock 'n' Roll Hall Of Fame thing was it. I've been entertaining the idea for other people for years, but it's never been my inclination to get back together. Given the opportunity for us all to show up in one place, that was the only reasonable platform for us to do it, and it didn't happen. I'm really sick to death of even entertaining the concept."

Axl - who still tours with Guns N' Roses and is the only original member of the band - and Slash have a long running feud, but despite that, the guitarist doesn't think any of the original members want to appear on stage together again: "I think you've got a situation where nobody involved wants to revisit. It's not just me - it's the whole band. And so I don't think there's a price tag that anybody's put in front of us that's going to make that work."

No DoubtNo Doubt have gained the right for their lawsuit filed against a video game maker to go to trial.

The group fronted by Gwen Stefani, 42, was happy to hear that their complaint against Activision for allegedly exceeding group members' contractual likenesses in Band Hero is going to court.

Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Ramona See denied the Santa Monica, California-based company's petition to throw out the case which means the sides should appear in front of jury later this year.

No Doubt sued the game maker in 2009, accusing them of allowing players to manipulate the quartet's individual avatars in ways they would never have acted in real life. They claimed it violated their publicity rights and turned them into a "virtual karaoke circus act."

The original complaint stated that such manipulations include "unlocking" mechanisms that gave gamers the ability to have Gwen's computer generated image sing in a male voice and also allowed her male bandmates to sing in female voices.

Mumford and Sons

Mumford and Sons will release their new album on September 24. The British folk band revealed in an interview with Dutch pop/rock radio station 3FM that their hotly anticipated follow up to Sign No More is almost complete. The group have once again collaborated with producer Markus Dravs on the record and frontman Marcus Mumford previously revealed they were in no rush to finish it because they wanted to make sure it wasn't "s**t."

"I think we just want the songs to be good, and to sound right, and to feel like we've expressed everything as straightforwardly and honestly as we can. We're done recording it. But if we listen back while we're mixing and discover it's s**t, we'll just start again," he said.

Metallica

Metallica can't afford to take time off.

The "Enter Sandman" hitmakers - who earn a reported $90 million from their tours - claim the music industry has changed so much, they are no longer able to take two years off work in between recording sessions. "The cycles of taking two years off don't exist anymore. We were able to do that because we had record royalties coming in consistently. Now you put out an album, and you have a windfall maybe once or twice but not the way it used to be - a check every three months," guitarist Kirk Hammett told Rolling Stone.

Steven TylerSteven Tyler thinks releasing an album is like surfing.

The Aerosmith frontman is hoping the group's forthcoming new album Music from Another Dimension will spawn several successful singles and is thrilled with the finished record.

"Your album is like a wave, and you ride that album all the way and see what you got. Hopefully we have three or four singles deep, which means radio play. [Producer] Jack Douglas and I and Joe Perry... We worked this thing for the last year, and we're so happy about it," he said.

Steven believes the record is a good representation of the band as people - which is useful as he often doesn't know who he is: "It's the kind of thing where it represents who you are. Who are you? We don't know. Sometimes our music speaks for us so this album - as Joe said on one of his solo records - 'Let the music do the talking,' and this one does."

The album, Music from Another Dimension, will be released in August, preceded by the single, "Legendary Child."

KeshaKesha likes to tattoo everyone she works with.

The "We R Who We R" singer collaborated with The Flaming Lips frontman Wayne Coyne on a few songs for the group's new album The Flaming Lips and Heady Fwends, and when she turned up, decided to etch an inking on his body.

"Most of the time, if someone's willing to work with me, they're going to be a freak. And Kesha... I sort of thought that she would be a freak, I'd heard about her and we'd tried to get a hold of her earlier. We showed up at her house, and she has a tattoo gun that she gives everyone a tattoo with, so within 20 minutes of being at her house, I had a tattoo on my toe; it's the only tattoo I've ever had," Wayne said.

Wayne says he was hugely impressed with Kesha and he learnt a lot form spending time with her: "We were set to do this one song that I had prepared, and we went into the studio that night, and stayed there until about two in the morning, and did four songs, just making stuff up. And the next day [we] worked for another couple hours. She's funny, she's gracious, she's imaginative, she's creative and she's a lot of fun to be around."
