Fans of the nineties boy band 98 Degrees - which consists of Nick Lachey and his brother Drew, Jeff Timmons, and Justin Jeffre - will be happy to know that the group will be putting together a new album. The quartet, who are set to go on tour with their nineties peers New Kids on the Block and Boyz II Men, recently appeared at Full Sail University, where Timmons opened up about getting back together with his old friends:
"We took a break, but we never broke up. We always thought we'd get back together someday. When we first got together, we started singing acapella. It felt very natural. We're all friendly. We haven't kept in touch like we should have, but when we get together, it's like old times."

Big Boi Wants Outkast Reunion

Big Boi is planning to reunite Outkast in 2014. The rapper has been speaking with bandmate Andre 3000 about getting back together to mark the 20th anniversary of their debut album, Southernplayalisticadillacmuzik - released in 1994.
In an interview with Power 106 radio in Los Angeles, he explained, "We been kind of discussing some things. Once we map it out, we'll make an announcement. But we'll see."
Although he'd love to celebrate the band's 20-year milestone, Big Boi is content with the group's success so far even if they don't move forward. "It's 20 years, man. We started out at 15, 16 years old. We made our first album when we were 17 years old. Twenty-five million records later, seven Grammys, I feel great," he explained.
The "Hey Ya" hitmakers released six albums in the span of 12 years. Their last record, 2006's Idlewild, reached number two on the US Billboard album charts and was certified platinum.

Destiny's Child are releasing new material. The "Say My Name" hitmakers have recorded their first brand new song in eight years, "Nuclear", and the hotly-anticipated track will feature on their upcoming best-of album Love Songs.
Lead singer Beyonce Knowles broke the news on her official website, Beyonce.com, posting the album cover along with the caption, "I am so proud to announce the first original Destiny's Child music in eight years!"
The album's track list boasts some of the girl band's most sensual and romantic ballads recorded between 1997 and 2004. The "Survivor" chart-toppers - also comprised of Kelly Rowland and Michelle Williams - disbanded in 2005 to pursue solo careers. Paul McCartney, Bruce Springsteen and Jon Bon Jovi performed at the 12.12.12 concert in New York last night. The Beatles guitarist fronted a Nirvana reunion as he brought surviving members, drummer Dave Grohl, bassist Krist Novoselic and touring guitarist Pat Smear - who were with singer Kurt Cobain until his suicide in 1994 - on stage halfway through his set at Madison Square Garden.
Before introducing the group at the Concert for Sandy Relief - which raised money for people in the Caribbean and US who were struck by Hurricane Sandy in October - he said, "The penny finally dropped that I was in the middle of a Nirvana reunion."

The Spice Girls are better friends now than they've "ever been."
Mel C insists her bandmates Mel B, Victoria Beckham, Geri Halliwell and Emma Bunton - who reunited earlier this year to perform at the Olympic Games closing ceremony - are closer than ever before thanks to them becoming "more chilled out" after having kids:
"We're better friends now than we've ever been. We've all grown up, become mums and are more chilled out. We're really grateful for each other because if it weren't for all five of us then we wouldn't have the great lives we have now."
The 38-year-old singer admits it has been a "great year" for the "Wannabe" hitmakers after they got back together for their London 2012 performance, but the brunette star isn't sure whether the girl group will ever play together again. "Yes, and this has been such a great year for us because of our performance at the Olympic closing ceremony. We were reminiscing so much over the old times. I think all of the girls are happy with the direction their careers have taken. I don't know whether we would perform together again," she said when asked about the girls.

Keith Richards: Sometimes I Despise Mick Jagger

Posted by Andru Edwards Categories: Gossip, Reunions, Rock,
Keith Richards admits sometimes he "despises" Mick Jagger. The Rolling Stones guitarist has opened up about the love/hate relationship he has with the band's singer, which was famously tested in 2010, when he wrote in his autobiography his bandmate has a small penis.
"You've got two very volatile guys who've been through a whole lot of stuff in their life and still somehow manage. Sometimes I despise the man, others, I love that man so much. It's like your brother. I never had one, so he's my brother. That's the way it is, bless his heart," Richards told Esquire.

Duff McKagan wants to get Velvet Revolver back together. The bass player and singer now fronts new band Loaded, but is hopeful he will reunite with legendary guitarist Slash, drummer Matt Sorum and guitarist Dave Kushner for a third album with the supergroup.
When asked if Velvet Revolver would continue - despite parting ways with vocalist Scott Weiland in 2008 - he said, "I hope so because it's a damn good band. Slash and I are family. He will be my brother until the day I die and I want to play with him again and we will."
Duff, Slash and Matt were also at one time members of Guns N' Roses, before forming Velvet Revolver in 2002. They have released two albums to date, Contraband in 2004 and Libertad in 2007. After Scott's departure, the group launched a search for another singer, but although there were many people in the frame including Myles Kennedy, Sebastian Bach and Slipknot singer Corey Taylor, they ultimately decided to go on hiatus instead.

Trent Reznor has confirmed new Nine Inch Nails material is "in the works." The band's front-man went on a 20th anniversary farewell tour with them in 2009, but now reveals they may release new songs in the future.
"All signs point to yes... Yeah, there will be new music. There are some things in the works. Yeah, if it feels right, it's a possibility. I never said that that wasn't going to happen, just that it couldn't go on as it was. Stay tuned. We'll see what happens here," he told Rolling Stone.
Since parting ways with Nine Inch Nails, Trent has been creating songs for films including The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo and The Social Network.
Speaking last year, the 47-year-old singer said he did not think of Nine Inch Nails as "dead," but just away temporarily: "Nine Inch Nails is not dead by any means, but all the touring and record writing has been thrown off for a little bit." Nine Inch Nails last released an album in 2008.

TLC Working on New Album

Posted by Andru Edwards Categories: Artist News, Reunions, Upcoming Releases, Hip-Hop & Rap, R&B / Soul,
The surviving members of TLC are working on a new album.
"No Scrubs" singers Rozonda "Chilli" Thomas and Tionne "T-Boz" Watkins are planning a new record, a TV biopic, and may even resurrect Lisa "Left Eye" Lopes - who died a 2002 car crash - as a hologram on a proposed tour.
"We're going to still sound like TLC, evolving to whatever level we need to be at this time," Chilli said.
When asked how their music would fit in with today's pop landscape, T-Boz told the BBC, "We've always grown throughout the years and have always had our own sound. That's what works for us and we don't have to worry about anybody else. When that stops working, maybe we'll hang up the towel, but that still works. We have to get into the studio and start feeling how we feel. You have to find yourself first and then you find the path and then you have an album before you know it."
