Kim DealKim Deal could return to the Pixies.

The "Debaser" group announced this summer how their bassist had quit last year and although Kim Shattuck has been drafted in to replace her on the road, drummer Dave Lovering insists Kim could return in future: "We left it open. It was sad and tough when she left but we wish her well and she has a welcome back if she'd like to."

Kim departed suddenly a week into a planned six-week recording session and the band found it very "distressing" working out what to do next. "When she said she was leaving, it was distressing and there was a lot of panic and we were like, 'What are we going to do?' We were in the studio and it was all paid for, so we're thinking, 'Do you break up the band?' We thought the correct thing is to go forward. So we did," Dave said.

Mel B. hopes the Spice Girls will reunite again next year. The America's Got Talent judge is eager to perform with her former band mates, Victoria Beckham, Geri Halliwell, Emma Bunton and Mel C. again but hinted they may be so keen on the idea.

The 38-year-old star told The Ellen DeGeneres Show on Friday, "I'd love to do it. I'm going to make it happen one day. I'm in so much trouble."

Mel B and Geri HalliwellMel B is set to record a duet with her former Spice Girls bandmate Geri Halliwell.

The 38-year-old singer - who formed one fifth of the chart-topping girl band along with Geri, Victoria Beckham, Emma Bunton and Mel C - is back in the recording studio to work on new music and is hoping her close pal will join her on a track.

"I'm definitely doing new music before the end of this year because I've just recorded three hot, hot singles. I'm having dinner with Geri so we will be talking about a collaboration," she said.

Mel enjoyed moderate solo success away from the 'Wannabe' hitmakers, including number one single "I Want You Back" featuring Missy Elliot, but she has largely focused on reality TV judging roles since the band's split in 2000, most recently working on the Australian version of The X Factor and America's Got Talent.

NSYNCJoey Fatone's father has confirmed an *NSync reunion.

The group - which also included Justin Timberlake, Lance Bass, JC Chasez and Chris Kirkpatrick - are set to reunite at the MTV Video Music Awards on Sunday to celebrate Justin being presented with the Michael Jackson Video Vanguard Award for his contributions to the music industry.

"They're doing a performance. I think it's exciting. I couldn't even say why he's doing it though. Why, at this point in his life. Now he's his own man. But it's more to the fact that MTV has made them all somewhat of stars, and also made Justin a star," Joseph Fatone Sr. told RadarOnline. However, Joseph admitted he doesn't know the exact details, adding, "I don't even know what has gone into this performance... I plead the fifth. I would suggest that you tell all your readers and everyone on the Internet, all your social media, tell them to watch!"

Timbaland, Jay-Z, Swizz BeatzTimbaland fell out with Jay-Z and almost didn't appear on Magna Carta Holy Grail.

The producer and rapper teamed up for the track "BBC" on Jay-Z's latest album, but it nearly never happened, as they fell out after working on Jay-Z's The Blueprint 3, released in 2009, together.

In an interview on REVOLT TV Timbaland said, "Jay and I fell out. I missed his 40th [birthday.] It was over petty stuff. It was more personal stuff and disagreements. It was not industry-related. It was personal, and I was wrong."

The stars, who have worked closely together for over ten years, reunited while Timbaland was working on Justin Timberlake's 20/20 Experience and resolved their issues when they realized they were "better together."

Ringo StarrRingo Starr says that the Beatles may have reunited by now had they all survived.

The 72-year-old musician and his former bandmate Paul McCartney have both gone on to have successful music careers since the band split in 1970, but Ringo likes to think all four original members would have got back together for a tour if they were all alive now. John Lennon was shot by a fan in New York in 1980, while George Harrison died of lung cancer in 2001.

When asked the "crazy question" on whether they would reunite in the present day, Ringo said, "I'd like to think, yes, we would. Paul still goes out with his band, I go out with mine and John would have probably been going out with his. George was not big on touring so I'm not sure about him. But who knows... it could have come together."

Wyclef JeanWyclef Jean says the "door is always open" to making a new Fugees record.

The singer and producer would like to reunite with former bandmates Lauryn Hill and Pras Michel to follow up their second album The Score, which sold over 10 million copies when released in 1996.

Speaking about a line in his new track, "Hip Hop," where he says he misses currently inactive rap group Outkast, he told Rolling Stone magazine, "What if Outkast did get back together? It's like how people always ask for a new Fugees album. I'm a fan, too. With me, the door is always open to do a Fugees record."

While Wyclef is in the position to reunite the groundbreaking group Lauryn faces difficulties, as she is set to start a three month jail sentence for failing to pay nearly $1 million in taxes next month. Despite her issues, Wyclef is confident they won't affect her, adding, "When she gets out, she'll get her stuff straight and put that past her. Everybody has tax problems - it's how you get past it. Lauryn will come back stronger."

Destiny's Child at this year's Super Bowl performanceKelly Rowland says Destiny's Child could make another album together.

The 32-year-old singer reunited with her former bandmates during Beyonce's half-time Super Bowl show in February and Kelly insists there's a chance they could work together again on new music in the future. When quizzed about the possibility of another record at Elle's Women in Music event in New York on Wednesday night, she said, "It's not a no."

Although the girls haven't ruled out a studio reunion, Kelly insists the trio are content to focus on their own respective solo careers at the moment. Kelly did work with Beyonce and Kelly on separate tracks for her own upcoming solo LP Talk A Good Game and she can't wait for her fans to hear the results.

Trent ReznorTrent Reznor thinks modern music is "more fashion than substance." The Nine Inch Nails mastermind says technology makes it easier for people to create their musical ideas, without necessarily having to learn to play an instrument first.

"I don't really care if you can play an instrument or not. I don't think that's a mandatory skill required to make music that can connect with people. I do think computers have made it easy to make lazy music that sounds nice. I find a fair amount of what's championed today feels to me like it falls in that category - much more fashion than substance. There's also a lot of current music I think is great - and as someone pointed out below, The Knife is a good example," he said, writing on Reddit.com.

Trent has recently announced he has put a new live line up for Nine Inch Nails together which will tour over the summer: "The band is reinventing itself from scratch and will be comprised of Eric Avery, Adrian Belew, Alessandro Cortini, Josh Eustis, Ilan Rubin, and me. The first shows will begin this summer, followed by a full-on arena tour of the US this fall, and lots of other dates worldwide to follow through 2014. Lots of details and dates to come. See you soon."

Victoria BeckhamVictoria Beckham has dropped out of the Spice Girls reunion tour. The 90s girl band - also made up of Mel B, Geri Halliwell, Emma Bunton and Mel C - were reportedly set to perform a string of concerts in Australia next year and sources had claimed all five members would be involved.

However, Victoria - who has carved out a hugely successful career as a fashion designer - doesn't want to take part and will not be joining them. The mother-of-four's spokesperson told The Sun, "Victoria has no plans to tour with the Spice Girls in 2014. Her future focus concerns her family and fashion business."

However, the four remaining members are still keen to do it and look set to go ahead without Victoria. The girls last performed together as a five-piece at the London 2012 closing ceremony and Mel B said they were keen to go on tour again. "We're always talking about getting together. We always have cups of tea and dinners together. We're all friends at the end of the day," she said.

Before the Olympics the group last performed together in 2008 as part of their comeback tour.
