John Mayer has parted ways with his long-time manager Michael McDonald.

The "Who You Love" singer has split from his manager after the pair worked together for 13 years and it's not yet known why they have decided to end their professional relationship.

"After 13 years, John and I are parting ways. It's been a magnificent journey, which began before his debut album, and along the way has included seven Grammy awards, years of massively successful tours around the world, and over 20 million albums sold. I hold John's talent in the highest regard and wish him nothing but the best," Michael said in a statement.

Michael formed Mick Management in 2001 with Mayer as a founding client. Most recently, he helped the 36-year-old musician return to touring after a he underwent surgery on his vocal cords after suffering a severe tissue inflammation.

John Mayer and Katy PerryJohn Mayer and Katy Perry have unveiled the artwork for their duet "Who You Love."

The couple - who are rumored to be engaged - teamed up for the third single to be taken from John's sixth studio album Paradise Valley, which was released in August. "Who You Love is here. Proud of this song, proud of this artwork, proud of this girl," the "Half Of My Heart" musician tweeted, attaching the cover art for the track.

The black-and-white shot, taken by photographer Mario Sorrentil, shows John strumming a guitar while Katy's strikes a sultry pose and rests her hand on his shoulder. "I wouldn't have brought her a song if I didn't think it was good. I think the power of the song protected me, certainly, I don't know about her, from it being a little too cute," John previously said about the track.

MadonnaMadonna has topped Forbes' list of highest-paid musicians.

The 55-year-old singer is still the queen of pop according to the magazine, earning $125 million from June 2012 to May 2013 thanks to her sell-out MDMA Tour, miles ahead of her nearest rival Lady Gaga, who raked in $80 million. Rockers Bon Jovi and country singer Toby Keith were next, with Coldplay coming in fifth place.

Despite lackluster sales of her latest album, Madonna made her fortune from fans paying $100 a ticket to see her tour - which grossed $305 million - as well as from merchandise sales, a clothing line, fragrance and investments in companies like Vita Coco. This comes as little surprise, since Madonna had already been crowned the world's highest-earning celebrity by Forbes in August, with filmmaker Steven Spielberg, author E.L. James, radio personality Howard Stern and X Factor boss Simon Cowell rounding out the top five.

However, the magazine estimates Lady Gaga could easily top the highest-paid musicians list next year because her current earnings were affected by her hip injury, which forced her to cut her Born This Way Ball tour short. Had she completed the tour, she could potentially have made $200 million.

Taylor Swift

"I only write songs about crazy love. If I go on two dates with a guy and we don't click, I'm not writing a song about that. It didn't matter in the emotional grand scheme of things. There's a lot that goes on in daily life that isn't really worth turning into a verse and a chorus... I heard from the guy that most of Red is about. He was like, 'I just listened to the album, and that was a really bittersweet experience for me. It was like going through a photo album.' That was nice."

- Taylor Swift reveals that she doesn't write a song about every guy she hooks up with, which is what apparently most folks believed. (Shocker!)

Taylor SwiftTaylor Swift has already written songs for her next album.

The 23-year-old singer is currently promoting her Red studio album, but she admits she has been penning tracks for her next collection, which she hopes will be different from anything she has done before:

"Now that I've written a lot of songs for the next album, I'm dying for people to hear it. It's so weird to be still promoting Red and I'm so proud of Red and I'm creating something that's so different from Red."

However, the "Everything Has Changed" hitmaker believes the success of Red will encourage her to work harder, but she doesn't want it to follow along the same lines with the same tunes. "It's so cool because I'm so appreciative of the success of Red but I know that if I want to have success with something else I can't make Red 2.0. I have to make something completely new and something that if you were to hear a song from it you'd go 'Oh that's not from Red, that's from the new one.' So that's what I'm doing," she explained.

Taylor SwiftTaylor Swift feels "honored" to have been asked to perform for Prince William and Duchess Catherine next month.

The superstar is one of several acts - along with Bon Jovi, James Blunt and Eliza Doolittle - set to play at the royal couple's Winter Whites Gala in London's Royal Albert Hall on December 8, in aid of homeless charity Centerpoint, and she is thrilled to have been asked.

"I'm really excited, I'm going to be playing the Winter Whites Gala, I'm really stoked, it's the first royal engagement I've done and I feel very honored," she said in an interview.

And the "I Knew You Were Trouble" hitmaker is already thinking about what to say and do if she gets the opportunity to meet the royal couple at the event, but she isn't getting her hopes up: "I've been asking about that [etiquette], I think I'm safe if I just shake hands and be polite. I think it's presumptuous to assume I'll meet them, so first I'm going to be polite enough to not assume I'll meet them."

Taylor SwiftTaylor Swift wants to set the record straight about her love life in her new songs.

The country singer is back in the studio writing new tracks about her short-lived romance with One Direction womanizer Harry Styles and is determined to tell people "what really happened" between them.

"When I'm writing songs, it's the only opportunity for my fans to hear what really happened. I'm in control of my life!" she told The Daily Mail. Taylor is famed for putting her failed romances with the likes of John Mayer and Jake Gyllenhaal in song, and teen heartthrob Harry is also expected to get the break-up anthem treatment after their bitter split earlier this year.

The 23-year-old musician is heading back to Nashville, Tennessee, to pen tracks for her fifth album and is prepared for an intense period of intensive songwriting: "This is the time where I start to really go into the studio non-stop and spend all my time writing songs. I scour my brain for every possible metaphor and analogy I can use to describe my life and emotions."
