Tito, Janet and Jermaine JacksonEven though refunds are now being offered for Michael Jackson’s tour, there had been rumors that his siblings could pick up some of the pieces.

Just yesterday, it was reported that the Jackson clan - including sister Janet - was considering doing a tribute tour in their brother’s honor. This supposedly could have meant performances on some of Michael’s old London dates. It also might have meant stops in the United States. It’s not clear now how the upcoming refunds would affect a gathering, if at all.

The family would have reportedly performed songs done by or with the King of Pop.

Michael Jackson 02 Concerts

NOTE: Refunds are only being offered to those who “purchased tickets through authorized agents.”

Later this week, refunds for Michael Jackson’s planned concerts will be offered in full.

Although many will still have to eat the cost of the flights they purchased, they will at least get back the service fees they were charged along with the ticket price.

Those wanting to remember the King of Pop could opt for a piece of memorabilia instead. Up until August 14, fans can choose to receive a commemorative concert ticket in lieu of a refund. The souvenirs, printed with the lenticular process, were designed by the artist himself.

Both options will become available starting on July 1. More information will be offered at MichaelJacksonLive.com.

Michael Jackson thin is being trained by Lou Ferrigno. The former Incredible Hulk, and former Mr. Universe, is paying secret visits to the Thriller star’s Los Angeles home to help him prepare for his forthcoming This Is It run of shows at London’s O2 arena. A source told Britain’s The Sun newspaper: “Lou has been visiting Michael to build him up so he can perform his dance routines. But Michael refuses to lift weights. He doesn’t want to bulk up.”

The 50-year-old singer - who weighs a reported 126 pounds and eats just one meal a day - is reportedly battling skin cancer and is said to be terrified gaining weight will damage his chances of beating the disease. Michael and Lou struck up a friendship two years ago when Jackson began using the 57-year-old actor’s gym. Lou said at the time: “Michael is more delicate. Our trainer conditioned him for dancing. He likes me, he feels safe with me. He was nervous about people looking at him when he’s training.”

Last month, it was revealed that Michael Jackson would kick off his concert run on July 13, five days later than originally planned. Shows scheduled to take place on July 10, 12 and 14 have been moved to the end of the residency in March 2010.

Although I doubt Baba Wawa (a.k.a. Barbara Walters) has a clue who is, she’ll probably figure it out soon enough.

Earlier today, broke major touring news…to the ladies of The View. (It’s apparently the new TRL.) The rapper told the daytime audience that he’ll soon be performing with that other musical fashionista.

So will Gaga be opening for Kanye….or will he be the warm-up act for her? Neither. “She’s talented and she’s, um….she’s so incredible that she’s not an opening act. We’re doing our show together, with no opening act,” West teased. (So it’s basically the hipper version of the Elton John/Billy Joel tour?)

No other details about the upcoming tour have yet been announced.

Leona Lewis tour is planning a two-year tour. The singer wants to hit the road for her first ever solo tour as soon as she finishes recording her second album in Los Angeles. She said: “I’ll be touring in 2010 and through to the year after. I just can’t wait.” Leona - who shot to fame after winning UK TV talent show The X Factor - is really excited about her upcoming LP, the follow-up to her hit 2007 debut Spirit. The album is rumoured to be packed with several star guests, including Justin Timberlake, Ne-Yo and super-producer Timbaland, and Leona insists fans will be surprised by her new sound.

The 24-year-old star told Britain’s Daily Star newspaper: “I’ve recorded about 20 songs so far. I’d say it was about halfway there. I’ve been flying back and forth to Los Angeles to record it. The music has a different feel this time. It’s more of a live, heavier sound with a lot of real instruments. It’s something I’ll be able to perform live.”

Jordin Sparks - a former winner of talent show ‘American Idol’ - recently revealed she is keen to collaborate with Leona. She previously said: “I want to work with Leona Lewis. I love her, she’s so sweet! I’d love to do a nice powerful female duet with her. I think our voices would blend together really well.”

Michael Jackson o2 arena delaysMichael Jackson has delayed his London concert series. Jackson will now kick off his O2 Arena residency on July 13, five days later than originally planned, as we reported yesterday. It has been reported the 50-year-old Jackson is to have surgery on his skin cancer today, with doctors removing cancerous flesh on his chest and nose.

may also need radiation gun therapy to ensure all diseased cells are destroyed, according to Britain’s The Sun newspaper. Randy Phillips, president of AEG Live who are promoting the tour, has dismissed Jackson’s rumoured cancer battle and stressed the delay is down to the “massive and technically complex show”. He said: “Michael is not sleeping with elephants and not suffering skin cancer. He’s a magnet for weird stories but he’s in great shape. I’d trade my body for his tomorrow. This show has grown in size and scope, thereby, necessitating more lead time for manufacture of the set, programming the content for the massive video elements, and, most importantly, more time for full production and dress rehearsals. As much as we agonised over this change in the original schedule, we are sure the fans will understand when they experience the level of entertainment Michael Jackson intends to deliver while also ensuring the safety of the musicians, cast and crew and the crisp execution of the production.”

Michael JacksonSome of the first people in line for may now be one of the last to see him in concert.

In a statement released today by AEG, the kickoff for Jackson’s London tour is being pushed back a whole five days. Unfortunately, this may actually mean a delay of a whole eight months for some.

“Due to the sheer magnitude of the This Is It concerts at the O2 Arena promoters and producers AEG Live and Kenny Ortega, Michael’s directorial partner and creative collaborator have elected to move back a few of the opening shows in order to meet the challenges presented by such a massive and technically complex show,” the concert promoter stated.

The first concert slated for July 8 will now take place on July 13. Those who had tickets for any of the next three shows will have to wait until March 2010. (July 10th is now March 1; July 12 is now March 3; July 14 is now March 6.)

Refunds are being made available for those who cannot attend their rescheduled show.
