Pre-order WWE 2K14 and get the Ultimate Warrior

Now that Take 2 has taken over the WWE videogame license, WWE 2K14 is being loaded up with the power of The Ultimate Warrior. Nothing like celebrating by bringing back an icon, and with the addition of a character as iconic as The Ultimate Warrior for those who pre-order the title, it may spur more than a few additional sales. The announcement was made official by way of a YouTube video, which you can find below, featuring the Warrior in his signature face paint and garb, cutting a classic Warrior-style promo. Here's what he had to say about his inclusion in the game:

Immortality is inspiration, pure and simple. An example to others that they, too, can do things larger than the life they are actually living, and Ultimate Warrior was the pure embodiment of this belief, in what has proven to be a very attention-getting and inspiring way, said Warrior. It was my good fortune to be his creator and performer, and I am humbled by all those fans who’ve not only kept his legacy alive, but deepened it over time. In 'WWE 2K14,' Ultimate Warrior’s creed, ‘Always Believe,’ lives on.

Chris Snyder, senior director of marketing for WWE2K14 explained why the decision was made this year to make The Ultimate Warrior one of the main attractions this year:

There has never been another WWE Superstar quite like the Ultimate Warrior – his intensity and energy is unmatched, and his legacy is undeniable, said Chris Snyder, Senior Director of Marketing at 2K. Fans love him, opponents fear him and everyone can agree that he’s one of the most iconic Legends in WWE history. Pre-ordering 'WWE 2K14' is the only way we mere mortals will ever have a glimpse into the greatness that is Ultimate Warrior.

Xbox 360 Halo 4 Limited Edition console bundle now available for pre-order

Remember that Halo 4 Limited Edition Xbox 360 console we told you about the other day? Yep, it's real, and it's now availabe for pre-order. The console will sell for $399.99, and will be released on November 6, 2012. You get the Xbox 360 console that decked out in Halo 4 artwork, along with two wireless controllers with artwork as well. The green LEDs are swapped out for blue, and the console has custom sounds from the Halo world. The actual Halo 4 game is also included. Pre-order it now at Amazon.

Anticipated PC Demos Dropping This Week: World in Conflict and BioShock

Timed to sync with the start of PAX and Leipzig, Sierra will release a rather full-featured demo of their upcoming real-time “action” strategy game World in Conflict on Friday containing demos of both the single-player mode via a tutorial, plus one mission as well as multiplayer supporting 16 players. There will be one multiplayer map available to all demo-downloaders that can also be played in solo skirmish mode and a second map playable only by those who pre-order the game. World in Conflict is designed to incorporate first-person shooter elements like speed into the RTS genre and by design requires no resource management. The game is due out September 18th.

In other demo-related news, the PC version of the BioShock demo that Xbox Live users have been enjoying since last week is out in time for the full retail release of the game. Any PC users on the fence about this game can check out the first half hour or so of the game and most likely put it down only long enough to run to the store and buy the full copy.

Sam and Max Episode 5 Now Available to Pre-orderers

Originally, Telltale Games advertised that Gametap subscribers would be getting each Sam and Max episode a bit before the lowly non-subscribers. For those of you that didn’t want to subscribe to Gametap, though, there’s some good news. Telltale has decided to be nice and release Sam and Max Season 1 Episode 5: Reality 2.0 a few days early for all of you Sam and Max lovers that bought the season in advance.

Personally, I like owning my games, not leasing them from a service like Gametap, so it’s nice to see that Telltale is showing some love for loyal Sam and Max followers.
