Sarah Jessica Parker Calls Matthew Broderick Average

Sarah Jessica Parker has accidentally branded her husband Matthew Broderick as “average.”
The Sex and the City 2 actress - who has seven-year-old James Wilkie and 11-month-old twins Marion and Tabitha with spouse - made the gaffe while discussing how she is relieved that her son is one of the oldest in his class because he is so short.
She told talk show host David Letterman, “James is, for the moment, more on the diminutive side. Some might call it a Napoleon complex, his age gives him some confidence because he is so mature. He’s a brainiac… well I think so, naturally. He’s not quite tiny - that’s on my husband’s side - well, actually Matthew is average…”
The 45-year-old star - who stands 5ft 3in compared with the actor’s 5ft 8in - tried to backtrack on her comments, insisting her husband is only “average in height,” and not any of his other attributes.
“Not average in personality or in intellect…. no, no, no, no, no. Let me clear this up. For the record, not in personality, intellect, charisma, talent, genuine likeability, well the list could go on and on. Anyway he’s average in height as I understand so the odds of our son being average in height and weight is perhaps promising… How am I ever gonna fix this?”

Who needs a professional advisor when you have Suri? Tom Cruise discusses his career plans with his four-year-old daughter.
The actor, who is married to Katie Holmes, describes the story contained in his scripts to Suri and then listens to her questions because he thinks it makes him a better actor.
“I’ll put Suri on a swing and tell her stories when I’m working on a script. I’ll start with the beginning of the movie and take her through the story beat by beat. Of course, I make it age-appropriate. She’s four years old. But she asks all the right questions, ‘Why does that happen?’ ‘Those are the bad guys?’ ‘You’re the good guy, right?’ It comes down to the same thing as when I was a kid. Can I create a character that will make her happy, that will make her laugh? And you know what? She makes me get better and better, because she’s always asking me to do it again.”
Tom - who also has adopted children Connor,15, and 17-year-old Isabella with ex-wife Nicole Kidman - constantly tries to be the best parent he can because of a promise he made his eldest child when she was just a baby:

Baby Naleigh Recovering From Heart Surgery

New mom Katherine Heigl can sleep a little easier, now knowing that her daughter is recovering well following heart surgery.
The actress and husband Josh Kelley adopted 17-month-old Naleigh from Korea last September and the tot recently went to the operating table to repair a congenital heart problem, but the little girl is now making good progress.
“Her heart is 100 per cent fine now. She has a scar, so she won’t be wearing bikinis, which is fine by us.”
The former Grey’s Anatomy star also revealed how the adoption process was sped up for her and Josh because they were willing to have a child with health problems. She told Harper’s Bazaar, “A lot of children don’t find forever homes because they’re on that special-needs list, even if it’s because of something as simple as her mother smoked cigarettes for a month, not knowing she was pregnant. That’s not so huge that you couldn’t handle it.”
Katherine is enjoying every moment of motherhood and is even willing to forgo some romantic time with Josh do that Naleigh has everything she needs: “If parent time interferes with sexy time, that’s that. Now it’s time to re-evaluate and grow up. Enough with the drama.”

John Travolta: Some good and bad news for the Travoltas this week. Yesterday, it was reported that two of the family’s dogs were killed in an airport accident last Thursday in Maine. Now, John and wife Kelly Preston have revealed that they are expecting their third child. This announcement comes over a year after their 16-year-old son Jett died following a seizure. The Old Dogs stars also have a 10-year-old girl named Ella Bleu.

Dana Plato’s Son Tyler Lambert Dies Tragically

It has been almost 11 years - exactly - since child actress Dana Plato died from an overdose. Plato, best known for her role as Kimberly Drummond on Diff’rent Strokes, was forced to leave the hit series in the middle of Season 6 when she became pregnant. The result was Tyler Lambert, son to Plato and her then-boyfriend Lanny Lambert. (Dana and Lanny later married, then divorced in 1990.)
Last Thursday, Tyler tragically died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound to the head. The cause of death has been ruled as suicide. Dano Plato’s death was also ruled a suicide when she overdosed on painkillers on May 9, 1999. She was 34. Lambert, who died on May 6, was 25.

Sandra Bullock Says Jesse is Still a Great Father

Sandra Bullock still wants Jesse James to play a role in her adopted son’s life.
The Oscar-winning actress has filed for divorce from the motorcycle entrepreneur following allegations he cheated on her with a string of women but says she would like him to be involved with three-month-old Louis because she knows what a great father he is.
“I will be adopting as a single parent. Anything else will be taken day by day. I have a different relationship with Jesse now. A bittersweet one. One of new understanding. One of forgiveness. One of support for his recovery. One that changed my life. I don’t really know how our paths will intersect in the future, but the father I have known Jesse to be with all the kids is one that I hope Louis can experience one day, no matter how Jesse and I go on with our lives.”
Jesse - who recently left rehab following treatment for sex addiction - has three children, Chandler, 15, Jesse Jr., 12, and six-year-old Sunny, from previous marriages and Sandra would also like the kids to be involved in Louis’ life: “I know my role is not one that exists on paper, but Louis is their brother, and Jesse and I will do whatever it takes for them to know that their world will not change and still be protected and safe and full of love. It will just have a slightly different dynamic now.”

Halle Berry and Gabriel Aubry Split

UPDATE: It’s now being reported that Berry was the one who did the dumping—and she did it months ago.
Let’s face it kids: You can try color-coordinating your family all you like, but that won’t necessarily keep you together.
Although they appeared to be the image of perfection, Halle Berry and Gabriel Aubry proved once again that pretty people also have a hard time being happy. After four years together, the actress and the model have called it quits.
According to reports, the two have actually been apart for some time and have already begun working on a custody agreement regarding their 2-year-old daughter Nahla. (RadarOnline.com says they’ve “spent months hammering out a deal with a lawyer” while TMZ is claiming Berry “went to a divorce lawyer three weeks ago.”) All sources are claiming, though, that the split appears to be going amicably.
