Ricky Gervais’ jokes about Mel Gibson? Jimmy Fallon’s opening number? Breaking Bad‘s two acting wins? The red carpet fashion?

For me, it will be George Clooney’s relationships (plural) with the cast members of Modern Family. Steve Levitan and Christopher Lloyd, I beg of you two—please make this happen.

What will Conan O’Brien say if he wins for The Tonight Show during this NBC event? Will Elisabeth Moss address soon-to-be ex-husband Fred Armisen if she wins for Best Supporting Actress? Oh – the awkward possibilities are endless!

So who won and who lost at the ? Read our West Coast play-by-play account of this evening’s telecast and find out!

George Clooney Leading Haiti Telethon

Posted by Veronica Santiago Categories: Prime Time, ABC, CBS, HBO, MTV, NBC, News,

George ClooneyWhen there’s a disaster of epic proportions, we can usually count on three things: Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie will donate a large chunk of change to the cause, Anderson Cooper will make his way to the middle of the tragedy, and George Clooney will rally the troops for a fundraiser.

To help those devastated by the earthquake in Haiti, the Up in the Air star has already immersed himself in plans for a possible celebrity-filled .

The event - which will reportedly air on MTV, HBO and CBS - is tentatively scheduled for Friday, January 22.

ABC, NBC, CNN may also participate and televise the broadcast.

Jeff Gallen, the same who man produced the 9/11 fundraiser Clooney worked on (America: A Tribute to Heroes), will be involved with this project, as well.

Programming Changes for The Weather Channel

Posted by K.C. Morgan Categories: Prime Time, Cable, News, Video,

MTV started showing everything but music videos. TLC began giving us household drama (what can we learn from that…avoid family life?). Discovery began airing its own original game show. Now, The Weather Channel is going to start showing movies.

Anything can happen on cable, people.

Of course, the network plans to stick to its main theme by showing flicks which largely feature - what else? - weather phenomenon. Beginning this Friday, TWC will have a movie night. First on deck is the flick A Perfect Storm.

March of the Penguins, Deep Blue Sea and Misery (well, you can only stay on theme up to a certain point) are also on the network’s programming roster.

UPDATE: Entertainment Tonight now says Margulies will be returning with Clooney.

After months and months of speculation, several sources are now claiming that George Clooney will be reporting for ER duty after all. The news comes despite denials last year from the Academy Award winner himself.

It’s not known when Doug Ross will resurface on the show, but the network recently extended the series’ 15th - and final - season by three episodes. (The hospital will now officially close its doors on April 2.) It’s also unclear whether Julianna Margulies will be checking in as well. Although we’ve already seen appearances from Shane West, Anthony Edwards and Alex Kingston (Noah Wyle and Eriq La Salle will arrive later), Margulies said back in November that she had no intentions of returning. “I feel like I left Carol Hathaway in the best scenario possible,” Julianna told the AP.

Clooney, who was last seen in a 2000 episode, will film his scenes later this week.
