Adele Records “Filthy” Rap

AdeleAdele has recorded a "filthy" rap song.

The "Someone Like You" singer is set to shock fans if she releases the track - a world away from her heart-wrenching ballads - which is full of expletives. "I know Adele really well and she was with me and [producer] Labrinth in the studio when we recorded 'Earthquake.' She also has this rap she recorded. It's really filthy," said rapper Tinie Tempah.

Tinie, 24, says the track was "an experiment" and he isn't sure if it will ever be released, especially as Adele has joked she'll start legal proceedings if he leaks it. Speaking in an interview on TV show Alan Carr: Chatty Man', he added, "She said if we ever play it to anyone she will sue us."

Adele, 25, took some time out after the global success of her second album 21 - having her first son, Angelo, with partner Simon Konecki in October 2012 - but she has recently been in the studio with songwriter Ryan Tedder, who claims her new material is sounding great. Ryan - who wrote "Rumor Has It" and Turning Tables with the star - said, "Adele sounds even better than before. I love where she's at, she's still my favorite artist in the world. I would press pause on my entire life if it meant I could go into the studio for a month straight with her."

Jonas Brothers Won’t Release Their Final Album

Posted by Andru Edwards Categories: Gossip, Rumors, Upcoming Releases, Pop,

The Jonas BrothersThe Jonas Brothers won't release their fifth album.

The trio - brothers Kevin, Joe and Nick Jonas - announced yesterday that they are to go their separate ways, and now they have confirmed the proposed record won't see the light of day, though they will bring out a small number of tracks "for the fans."

"The album will actually not be completed, but we will be doing something for our fans. They have traveled with us and been with us for so many years that we did not want to just leave without giving them back something. So what we're going to do is, we're going to release four unreleased songs from the album. The rest of the album will be never released," Kevin said.

Nick admitted the decision to separate came after he "initiated" a discussion about their future and says it triggered a "tough" conversation. "In a nutshell, I said, 'Look, I feel like we've had some complications within the group for a long time without addressing them. I think this train will fall off the tracks without really getting real about some of the concerns and some of the limitations that we may feel as individuals in the group.' It was a tough conversation... It was the first time we really had that real conversation. It was a few days of working through it," he said on Good Morning America.

Taylor Swift’s New Songs to Set the Record Straight

Taylor SwiftTaylor Swift wants to set the record straight about her love life in her new songs.

The country singer is back in the studio writing new tracks about her short-lived romance with One Direction womanizer Harry Styles and is determined to tell people "what really happened" between them.

"When I'm writing songs, it's the only opportunity for my fans to hear what really happened. I'm in control of my life!" she told The Daily Mail. Taylor is famed for putting her failed romances with the likes of John Mayer and Jake Gyllenhaal in song, and teen heartthrob Harry is also expected to get the break-up anthem treatment after their bitter split earlier this year.

The 23-year-old musician is heading back to Nashville, Tennessee, to pen tracks for her fifth album and is prepared for an intense period of intensive songwriting: "This is the time where I start to really go into the studio non-stop and spend all my time writing songs. I scour my brain for every possible metaphor and analogy I can use to describe my life and emotions."

Paul McCartney Stops Writing Songs

Paul McCartneyPaul McCartney has stopped writing songs because he has so many.

The "New" hitmaker has such a large number of tracks saved up which he wants to finish before he starts on another batch. "I'm resisting writing any more songs as I've got so many. I got everything off my chest with 'New,' and next I need to go through my pile of demo ideas. It'll be like cleaning out my attic - I know I should do it even though I don't really want to," he told the Daily Star newspaper.

The star's 24th solo album, New, was only released this week, but Paul's already looking forward to his next record. "There are loads of songs I've started in the past couple of years that I need to finish off. Some are just sketchy ideas but I think there are a lot of strong ideas in my demos too, which I need to sit down and figure out how to finish," he added.

Lana Del Rey on the cover of 'Nylon'Lana Del Rey is struggling to write her new album.

The "Summertime Sadness" hitmaker is working on the follow-up to 2012's Born to Die album and admits that she never knows what to say when she's quizzed on her new work as she doesn't know what it will sound like yet. "When people ask me about it, I just have to be honest - I really don't know... I don't want to say, 'Yeah, definitely - the next one's better than this one,' because I don't really hear a next one. My muse is very fickle. She only comes to me sometimes, which is annoying," she told nylonmag.com.

Lana - real name Elizabeth Woolridge Grant - was catapulted to the spotlight following the success of her debut single "Video Games" in June 2011 and has since found it harder to source inspiration from the "outside world." She explained, "It's harder to be an observer when people are watching you. You have to go further inside because the outside world becomes a harder place to draw from."

Katy Perry Was High Recording “California Gurls”

Posted by Andru Edwards Categories: Artist News, Upcoming Releases, Pop,

Katy Perry in Katy Perry was high when she recorded "California Gurls."

The singer was overcome by the weed smoked by her collaborator Snoop Dogg [currently going by the name Snoopzilla], when they recorded a rap in the middle section of the song, for her last album Teenage Dream.

"It was really cool. He came by the studio, played the song and rolled a J. Everybody was contact [passively] high. But he was super-cool and he's been around forever. It's really amazing if you meet someone that's been around for 20 to 25 years and they're still cool, because sometimes they aren't," Katy is quoted by The Sun newspaper as saying.

The first song Katy wrote for her latest album, Prism, was "By the Grace of God," which has a much darker tone, as it was inspired by Katy's breakup with ex-husband Russell Brand, and she admits she was in a bad way when she wrote it.

Lindsay Lohan Inspires Elton John

Elton John and Lindsay LohanElton John says Lindsay Lohan inspired one of his new songs.

The "Candle in the Wind" hitmaker admits the title track of his new album, The Diving Board, which deals with the subject of success at a young age and the perils of fame, was written with the troubled Mean Girls star - who recently completed 90 days of court-ordered rehab - in mind.

"It could be a summation of my career because it's about young people becoming successful and diving off into the unknown. What's going to happen? Are they going to survive it? Are they going to become victims of their own success? Are other people going to prey on them and destroy them? You could actually say it's about me, but I was thinking about Lindsay Lohan when I was writing it."

Eminem Samples Beastie Boys

EminemEminem samples Beastie Boys on his new single, "Berzerk." The rapper has unveiled the Dr. Dre and Rick Rubin produced track as the first proper single from his upcoming The Marshall Mathers LP II.

The upbeat song has a number of musical references to old school 80s hip-hop, including the pounding drumbeats and crunchy guitars which are Rick's signature style. The song samples both Beastie Boys' "Fight For Your Right To Party" and Billy Squier's "The Stroke."

In the track Eminem references his alter ego, Slim Shady, and older hip-hop artists rapping, "Let's bring it back to that vintage Slim, bitch / The art of the MCing mixed with da Vinci and MC Ren / And I don't mean Stimpy's friend, bitch / Been Public Enemy since you thought PE was gym, bitch."

The Marshall Mathers LP II is the sequel to Eminem's third album, released in 2000, which is his most successful to date. Eminem - whose real name is Marshall Mathers - had previously been quiet about his comeback, which his friend and Slaughterhouse collaborator, Royce Da 5' 9'', suggested was to retain an air of mystery.

Gotye Struggles to Finish New Album

GotyeGotye is having trouble finishing his new album.

The singer-songwriter has begun work on the follow-up to his successful 2011 album Making Mirrors - which included the worldwide mega hit "Somebody That I Used to Know" - but has hit a "hurdle" and says it could be a while before fans hear the results.

Gotye - real name Wally De Backer - told website FasterLouder.com.au, "I've started a bunch of ideas that I really like, but I just seem to have hit a bit of a hump in terms of how I'm connecting that with moving them forward into finished pieces or into songs. When I think about it, it's quite similar to the experience I had in previous years trying to make records: there are always certain bigger hurdles you hit, and you wonder whether you're actually getting anywhere, but maybe you do actually have a lot of stuff under your belt. Very broadly that's where I'm at, I'm just working away."
