In Depth Look into Xbox 360 Guide

Posted by Jesse Easley Categories: Xbox 360,

We have some great pictures of the new Xbox Guide, previously named the dashboard on the original Xbox. So, we decided to post a nice little run down for all of you to check out so when you finally get your hands on the new Xbox you’ll already know what to do. Read more for a breakdown of all the screens and pictures of the screens.

This is the Xbox Marketplace. Here you will be able to download game trailers, Xbox Guide themes, game updates, movie trailers (supposedly), game demos, and more. To do this you will have to use points which you can buy points or retailers will sell pre-paid point cards kind of like pre-paid cell phone cards.

With the Xbox 360, you have the option to send music, pictures, and videos straight to the system from your PC giving you a complete media center.  One of the best things about putting music on the Xbox 360 is that the games will support custom soundtracks.  When you put photos on the Xbox 360 you’ll be able to play a slideshow with music. The Xbox 360 features in this aspect make it an incredible addition to any home entertainment system you have.

This is the Video Chat screen where, as you can see, you can play select games with friends while in video chat.

As you can see, the Xbox 360 itself has tons of built in features for you to access and use without even putting in a disc. We’ll give you more info once we get our hands on of it.
