We give you a look at three different types of HexBugs in this episode. HexBugs are robotic creatures, similar to insects, that crawl around. Batteries are included, so you just open them up and turn them on, and as you can see, they will start crawling around right away. The HexBug Inchworm is radio-controlled, while the HexBug Original and HexBug Nano are simply battery powered and kind of do their own thing once you turn them on. Aside from the insect robots themselves, you can also purchase different environments for the HexBugs to move around in, which looks especially cool when dealing with the Nano version. iFrogz says they have the world’s most customized iPod cases. We get a look and demo. Basically, there are three pieces that form the case, and they are available in 34 colors each for the external casing, and then 200 individual pieces for the click wheel cover. You can also upload your own art for the click wheel cover. Compatible with all iPod nano, 4th gen, and 5th gen. You can customize your own case for $29 USD. Even better, though, is the iFrogz Tadpole, which is a holder that is great for kids who want to watch video content in the car.

CES 2007 Video: Loc8tor Homing Device

We were able to check out the Loc8tor device at CES. This is a gadget that lets you home in on things (or people) that you have attached a small homing key to. The plus version even lets you know if a homing key moves out of your range, so you know if a kid is heading towards a street or if someone is trying to jack your gear.
