Once again, celebrities will be uniting for a good cause—and they weren’t asked by George Clooney to do so.
On Monday, CNN will broadcast a Larry King Live special focused on the BP oil spill. The telethon - Disaster in the Gulf: How You Can Help - will allow viewers to contribute to one of three different charities (The Nature Conservancy, United Way, or the National Wildlife Federation). Donations raised will “go to aid in rebuilding the Gulf Coast.”
Those helping King with the two-hour event include Ryan Seacrest, Chelsea Handler, Sting, Tim McGraw, Kathy Griffin, Alyssa Milano, Deepak Chopra, Pete Wentz, Ted Danson, Robert Redford, Harry Connick Jr., Jenny McCarthy and Philippe Cousteau.
The special will air from 8 to 10 p.m. Eastern.

VIDEO: Jimmy Kimmel and the Handsome Men’s Club
Posted by Veronica Santiago Categories: Comedy, Late Night, Specials, ABC, Video,
Whether you’re watching it for the first time, or for the fifth time—this is some funny s**t.
On last night’s Jimmy Kimmel Live: After the Academy Awards special, the host gave us an inside look at the HMC, a.k.a. the Handsome Men’s Club.
Several items were on the agenda during the club’s meeting yesterday. Are Robert Pattinson and Taylor worthy of induction—or are they merely cute? (The Office‘s John Krasinksi already fills the club’s “cute” quota.) Should Ethan Hawke be allowed to change his name to “Handsome” Hawke? (Answer: Yes.) Is Jimmy Kimmel good-looking enough to even be in the club—let alone be it’s president?
Find out what happens - and who betrays Kimmel - in the video above.

2009 Golden Globe Awards
Posted by Veronica Santiago Categories: Award Shows, Prime Time, Cable, HBO, NBC, News,

One year after a strike-induced absence, the drinking resumed. Although the 66th Annual Golden Globe Awards drew its usual set of followers tonight, this year’s program carried even more significance than usual. The reason? Heath Ledger.
With or without the Dark Knight nomination, the ceremony would have been interesting. Was this going to be the year a film about an Indian game show (Slumdog Millionaire) won top prize? Would either Meryl Streep (Mamma Mia, Doubt) or Kate Winslet (Revolutionary Road, The Reader) walk away with two awards? Could Mickey Rourke‘s comeback performance in The Wrestler earn him a surprise win over Sean Penn (Milk)?
To find out the answer to these questions (and many more), you can read our detailed coverage after the jump!

Booker T Debuts On TNA
Posted by David Onda Categories: Action, Specials, Sports, On Demand/PPV, Cable/Satellite, News, Spoilers,
Former WCW and WWE World Heavyweight Champion Booker T made his Total Nonstop Action wrestling debut tonight at the company’s Genesis pay-per-view. Fans have speculated for weeks that Booker would be Sting’s mystery partner for the main event, where they would take on Kevin Nash and TNA Champion Kurt Angle. Booker left the WWE a few months ago over disputes about his move to the RAW brand, as well as his suspension after supposedly failing WWE drug testing.
Booker received a huge ovation when his familiar, “Can you dig it, sucka’?” catchphrase played throughout the Impact Zone arena. While Booker did have the chance to win the TNA World Title, he came up empty handed as Angle retained after pinning Sting.
