This Week on TV (4/12-4/18)

MONDAY (4/12)

How I Met Your Mother (CBS, 8pm): “Marshall gets mugged, prompting Lily to want to get a gun.” Given her previous experiencing staking vampires, he knew she was handy with weapons.
Two and a Half Men (CBS, 9pm): “Alan tolerates Jake’s new friend, who is a bad influence, because he’s attracted to the boy’s mother, played by Courtney Thorne-Smith.” According to Jim, she’s got very low standards.
Pawn Stars (History, 10pm): “Included: an archery bow; a full-size, hand-carved wooden motorcycle; and a pirate peg leg.” Life’s even hard for the Dread Pirate Roberts XL.

MONDAY (4/5)

Life Unexpected (CW, 8pm): “Cate, Lux and Baze go on a road trip to track down Cate’s long-absent father (Peter Horton).” When they realized he was the guy with the mullet, they kept on driving.
Rules of Engagement (CBS, 8:30pm): “Audrey tries to give her unattractive friend confidence by lying to her and telling her she’s on Jeff’s list of women he would sleep with if Audrey wasn’t around.” By lying about it, she ironically gave Jeff permission to possibly one day do it.
Runaway Squad (A&E, 10pm): Series premiere. “In the opener of a series following a team that searches for runaways and reunites them with their families, a Long Island teen is sought.” He was eventually tracked down after becoming a mayor on Foursquare.

MONDAY 12/29)

Seven Deadly Sins (History, 9pm): “The sin of lust is examined in the opener of a seven-part series exploring the seven capital vices, including their origin in religious teaching and history’s worst perpetrators.” In case you needed some help thinking of a good resolution.
Bromance (MTV, 9pm): Series premiere. “Brody Jenner is introduced to nine guys who will be competing to be part of his entourage.” Finding someone less annoying than Spencer Pratt shouldn’t be too hard.
The City (MTV, 10pm):: Series premiere. “Whitney Port arrives in New York City and begins working for iconic fashion designer Diane von Furstenberg.” And by “working,” we mean she’ll be giving Diane free publicity.
100 Greatest Hard Rock Songs (VH1, 10pm): “A five-part countdown of the Top 100 hard rock songs begins.” On VH1, Daughtry is considered hard rock.

MONDAY 12/15)

Heroes (NBC, 9:00): “Mohinder may hold the key to rescuing Hiro.” I’m starting to wonder if Mohinder has the answer to anything.
20/20 (ABC, 9:00): “Teens put on a show in a chronicle of a Virginia high school production of ‘The Wiz’ that uses video diaries and interviews to follow the emotional drama of students.” Sadly, this is the same network that also put together the barely-watched High School Musical: Get in the Picture.
Worst Week (CBS, 9:30): “Sam helps Dick choose the perfect gift for Angela after discovering he gets her the same thing every year.” Just for the record: Some things like spa packages and jewelry can be given over and over again.
The Hills (MTV, 10:00): “Heidi and Spencer consider eloping during a Mexican vacation.” Whatever you do - avert your eyes.
