(Make sure to check out TV Envy’s Programming Schedule.)

MONDAY (1/25)
  • Cake Boss (TLC, 9pm):  “Buddy deals with an indecisive client when creating a cake for the grand opening of a movie theater.” They ultimately agreed to serve melted butter on the side.
  • Castle (ABC, 10pm):  “A vacationing family return home to find a supposed squatter dead in their daughter’s bed.” The cause of Goldilocks’ death? Poisoned porridge.
  • Damages (FX, 10pm):  Season premiere. “A court has appointed Patty to recover assets lost in a Ponzi scheme orchestrated by Louis Tobin (Len Cariou) while Ellen is working for the DA’s office, which will prosecute him.” Ahh - there’s nothing like the smell of a fresh backstab in the morning.

MONDAY 1/19)
  • The Secret Life of the American Teenager (ABC Family, 8pm):  “Ricky’s dad arrives in town with a proposal for how Ricky should handle impending fatherhood.” Apparently leaving town is an option?
  • House (FOX, 8pm):  “Cuddy discovers that caring for her newly adopted baby leaves her little time to run the hospital.” Taking care of House and a baby is an impossible feat.
  • Bromance (MTV, 9pm):  “The guys embark on a camping trip, but before reaching their destination, they stop at a biker bar where each must face off against a huge biker in the parking lot.” The reality is, many people want to kick ‘s ass. It’s time to hone their defense skills now.
  • Paranormal State (A&E, 10pm):  Season premiere. “A family believes their new home in suburban New Jersey is haunted. The team’s investigation leads them to dig in the yard for possible answers.” Haunting or no haunting, buried things in my yard is reason enough to move.

This Week on TV (10/8-10/14)

Men in Trees

  • Total Request Live (MTV, 3:30pm):  Watch the ‘official’ debut of Britney’s new video, or just watch it now.
  • Big Bang Theory (CBS, 8:30pm):  The reunion of Johnny Galecki and Sara Gilbert happens tonight.

Mario Lopez Next Miss America Host

Mario Lopez Fresh off of his successful turn on Dancing With the Stars, Mario Lopez will next be taking on hosting duties for the Miss America pageant. No stranger to hosting duties, Lopez hosted Pet Star on Animal Planet, a contest looking for the most talented animal. So maybe hosting a beauty pageant won’t be too much of a stretch. I kid! He also hosted the Miss Teen USA pageant in 2003, so he has experience with both beauty queens and pets.

“I’m honored. I think it’s going to be great,” Lopez commented to The Associated Press. Last year, Miss America was hosted by Desperate Housewives James Denton. Lopez doesn’t, however, plan to sing the theme of “There She Is, Miss America” when the pageant airs January 29th from Las Vegas.
