‘Earl’ and ‘The Office’ Reruns Coming to TBS

My Name is Earl Wow, did you catch last night’s marathon of The Office? I caught the last half of “Casino Night” and it really brought back all of those old Pam and Jim feelings. When Jim puts it out there that he loves Pam… then later kisses her. Sigh. Add to that the slightly teary-eyed Jim when she rejected him—wow, that’s a great episode. And now, The Office will live on in reruns on TBS. Ditto for My Name is Earl, another solid NBC comedy… both Earl and The Office are part of what made NBC “must see,” at least in my sad little existence. Anyway, TBS will begin airing the pair in the fall, for the low-low cost of $600,000-$700,000 per episode. No details on what timeslots these will hold—and with Friends, Sex and the City, Seinfeld, King of Queens, Everybody Loves Raymond and Family Guy, there will be plenty of funny on TBS (except for Raymond, which I have never found too funny).

TV Alums Have Babies

Posted by Wendy Michaels Categories: Comedy, Drama, King of Queens, Internet,

Kevin JamesTwo big baby announcements—courtesy of two past television stars. First up, Felicity‘s Keri Russell and hubby Shane Deary welcomed baby boy River Russell on June 9th. This is the first baby for the pair, who were married on Valentine’s Day after dating for a few years. She recently appeared on the big screen in Waitress, and you may remember her from a guest-starring gig on Scrubs. Her appearance on the comedy only stands out to me because I thought she didn’t bring much to the role. And in other baby news… King of Queens’ star Kevin James added a second daughter to his growing family. Wife (and model—lucky guy!), Steffania De La Cruz, gave birth to baby Shea Joelle on June 14th. She’ll be joining big sis Sienna-Marie, who will be three this fall. James, you’ll recall, finished up the final season (number nine) of King of Queens this year and can be seen in theaters soon in I Now Pronounce You Chuck and Larry with Adam Sandler. On a side note, I checked out one episode of his co-star Leah Remini’s new web series In the Motherhood, and it’s very funny (also includes comedian Chelsea Handler, who is too funny). Anyway, worth checking out!

May’s Big Sendoffs

TV Remote It’s May, and that can only mean one thing: finales. The official TV season is ending so that summer’s reality programming can begin, but all the hot shows are determined to go out with a bang. Which show will have the most surprising finale of all? Which shows will only be coming back in re-runs? How will they all say good-bye? There’s only one way to find out – but you don’t have to watch them all.

After nine hilarious seasons, The King of Queens cast will say their final good-byes on Monday, May 14 at 9pm ET. The CBS show will get a big send-off to cap off its almost decade-long run, giving fans that chance to laugh at Kevin James and Jerry Stiller one last time. The dramatic hour-long finale will have plenty of tears but lots of laughter, too. Insiders say the show will have a happy ending. The real tragedy behind King of Queens going off the air is that Jerry Stiller will no longer have a sitcom gig – and that man is hysterical.
