Thursday Ratings: Greys, Private Practice Seize the Night

Last night, ABC wasted a Grey’s/Private Practice crossover special on a competition-free evening. CBS’ repeat-filled slate allowed the Alphabet network to win in the both the viewers and the demos.
8pm
- Bones (10.8 million, 3.2/9 in 18-49) was tops in its hour.
- Ugly Betty (7.3 million, 2.3/7) was up 3.3 million from last week.
- The Big Bang Theory* (2.0/6) and My Name is Earl* (2.5/7) both pulled in 6.2 million.
- How I Met Your Mother* (5.9 million, 2.0/5) and Kath & Kim (4.7 million, 2.0/5) tied in the demos.
- Smallville (3.9 million, 1.6/4) lost 300,000.

- Grey’s Anatomy (15.2 million, 5.8/14 in 18-49) had the best numbers of the evening.
- CSI* (2.7/7) pulled in 11.7 million.
- The Office (4.3/11) scored 8.4 million.
- Hell’s Kitchen (7.7 million, 3.5/9) scraped off 3.4 million.
- 30 Rock (6.3 million, 3.0/7) improved by 1.3 million.
- Supernatural (3.3 million, 1.3/3) gave up 300,000.
10pm
- Private Practice (13 million, 5.3/14 in 18-49) had its largest audience of the season.
- Eleventh Hour (8.2 million, 2.0/5) lost 4.5 million.
- ER (2.7/7) sat in back with 7.3 million.
