Wednesday Ratings: A Win-Win for New York and FOX

Last night’s baseball game ended in a victory for both the New York Yankees and the network. Wednesday’s finale helped bring the overall series average to 19.4 million viewers.
8pm
- Game 6 of the World Series (7.4/20 in 18-49) drew in 22.3 million.
- The New Adventures of Old Christine (2.1/6) was good for 7 million; Gary Unmarried (2.0/5) registered 6.7 million.
- Mercy (1.7/5) checked in 6.6 million.
- Hank (1.4/4) nailed down 5.3 million; The Middle (2.0/5) drummed up 6.1 million.
- America’s Next Top Model (4 million, 1.7/5) raised 500,000 more.

- Modern Family (8.6 million, 3.4/9) had the best demos outside sports.
- Law & Order: SVU (8 million, 2.5/6) remained steady.

- The Vampire Diaries* (1.4 million, 0.7/2) did the same.
10pm
- CSI: NY (2.7/7 in 18-49) got a hold of 11.6 million.
- Eastwick (4.6 million, 1.6/4) went south by 400,000.
- The Jay Leno Show (4.7 million, 1.3/4) lost 300,000.
