‘Wolf of Wall Street’ Victim Slams DiCaprio, Scorsese in Open Letter

Martin Scorsese and Leonardo DiCaprioWhile audiences across the country are raving about Martin Scorsese's latest film The Wolf of Wall Street, one woman who was incidentally caught up in the real life drama is making it clear that she has a bone to pick with the Oscar-winning director and his star, Leonardo DiCaprio.

In an open letter in LA Weekly, Christina McDowell - the daughter of Tom Prousalis, a former associate of real life Wolf of Wall Street Jordan Belfort - condemns Scorsese and DiCaprio (who portrays Belfort in the film) for glamorizing crime:

"So here's the deal. You people are dangerous. Your film is a reckless attempt at continuing to pretend that these sorts of schemes are entertaining, even as the country is reeling from yet another round of Wall Street scandals. We want to get lost in what? These phony financiers' fun sexcapades and coke binges? Come on, we know the truth. This kind of behavior brought America to its knees."

Posted by Andru Edwards Categories: Music, Rants, Features,

Kanye WestKanye West has vowed to stop his controversial rants for "six months at least."

The "Bound 2" rapper is no stranger to controversy, most recently slamming the Grammy Awards for not adequately recognizing his latest record Yeezus, but he has now promised to curb his infamous diatribes in the New Year and focus on being positive.

Kanye opened up while on stage for his Yeezus tour in Toronto, Canada, earlier this week, saying, "Everything I'm saying that's not allowed, soak it in right now ... this might be the last time y'all hear me talk s**t for a long time. Might be another like six months. At least. You're just gonna have to run back [my past] interviews and s**t if you wanna hear some realness!"

The 36-year-old rapper - who has a six-month-old daughter, North, with fiancee Kim Kardashian - alluded to his recent controversies, such as slamming sports brand Nike, who replaced him as a spokesperson, and his choice words for the Grammy Awards voting committee:

Charlie Sheen Won’t See His Kids for Christmas

Charlie SheenCharlie Sheen won't be spending Christmas with any of his children.

The Anger Management star had planned to spend the day with his sons, Bob and Max, tomorrow after reaching an agreement with their temporary guardian, Scott Mueller, who is his ex-wife Brooke Mueller's brother, and is furious it will no longer be happening.

The 48-year-old star vented his rage on Twitter today, writing, "no kids on Xmas! can I unwrap the gifts this kangaroo sukk, pig circus court gave me now? thanks B&D (Brooke & Denise) enjoy my hate! [sic]."

But an insider told gossip website RadarOnline.com that the actor never cleared his plan to take the boys with Scott. "Scott had never agreed to let Charlie spend Christmas Eve or Christmas day with his son's with ex-wife, Brooke Mueller. Brooke would never have agreed to it either. Charlie was telling people he was going to see the boys so that he wouldn't look bad for planning to take his porn star girlfriend [Brett Rossi] to Europe," an insider explained.

Trudie Styler: George Clooney Should Have Older Love Interests

George ClooneyTrudie Styler thinks that George Clooney should be cast in movies alongside women his own age.

The film producer - wife of "Shape of my Heart" singer Sting - has blasted ageism in Hollywood, using the 52-year-old hunk as an example. "Look at George Clooney...I'm a huge admirer of his, but when he plays a leading man in a love story, his love interest is always 10 years his junior. Why not have an actress the same age as him? Hollywood always wants to rose tint everything, but this doesn't even reflect real life. In life, you see younger men and older women and the majority of marriages don't have such a huge age gap as we're used to seeing in films," she told The Daily Mail.

Leading ladies who have played opposite George include Jennifer Lopez, Catherine Zeta Jones and Renee Zellwegger, all of whom are now 44. However, in real life, ladies man George's last three girlfriends have been much younger than him, with him dating Stacy Keblier, 34, Elisabetta Canalis, 35, and Sarah Larsen, 32.

Noel Gallagher Slams Arcade Fire

Posted by Andru Edwards Categories: Artist News, Gossip, Pop, Rock, New Releases,

Noel GallagherNoel Gallagher thinks that Arcade Fire are "arrogant" for releasing a double album.

The "Everybody's On The Run" singer says he hasn't heard the band's new record Reflektor and he doesn't have time to listen to so many tracks. "I haven't heard it. Anybody that comes back with a double album, to me, needs to pry themselves out of their own a**hole. This is not the Seventies, okay? Go and ask Billy Corgan [The Smashing Pumpkins] about a double album. Who has the ####### time, in 2013, to sit through 45 minutes of a single album? How arrogant are these people to think that you've got an hour and a half to listen to a f**king record?" he told Rolling Stone.

The former Oasis guitarist, 45, said it was a "shame" David Bowie chose to work with the band on the record but hailed his comeback album The Next Day as a "masterpiece." He's also become a fan of Kanye West after hearing "Black Skinhead" at a party, but the musician thinks Robin Thicke is a "one-hit wonder" and his song "Blurred Lines" irritates him: "I don't mind it. It sounded good on the radio. Got a bit annoying after the five millionth time you've heard it. I think he's going to be a one-hit wonder, surely. It'll be like that guy who's done 'Gangnam Style' - we'll never hear from him again."

Disney Star Calls Joe Jonas Out on “Bull****”

Posted by Andru Edwards Categories: Music, Television, Rants, Rivalries,

Joe Jonas has been slammed as a "bad artist" by Dylan Sprouse.

The former Jonas Brothers star gave a revealing interview earlier this week in which he claimed he felt working for Disney meant he had to "sugarcoat" his true self and had little choice or creative input into his work.

But now his fellow former Disney star Dylan - best known for starring with twin brother Cole in The Suite Life of Zack & Cody - has hit out at his "bulls**t" comments, insisting Joe was more likely dazzled by fame than being prepared to make his own decisions. In a blog post, Dylan wrote, "I think it's bulls**t that they were being robbed of choice or creativity. If they wanted too, they could have told Disney 'No.' Cole and I did this hundreds of times and we ended up all right. The only reason they didn't is because, like many of the people on that channel, I think they fell for the allure of fame... Nowadays artists just assume they have to do what they are told by their proprietors because there is a 'rigid structure to achievement.' It is nothing more than a scheme to rob you of your individuality and capitalize the gain they acquire from such treachery. If you believe this, not only are you incredibly foolish, but you are a BAD ARTIST [sic]."

Kim Kardashian and Kanye WestKim Kardashian has hit back at suggestions she doesn't spend enough time with her daughter.

Evan Rachel Wood Angry Over Hollywood Sexism

Evan Rachel WoodEvan Rachel Wood has hit out at Hollywood double standards after a sex scene was cut from her new film Charlie Countryman.

The 26-year-old actress lashed out at the Motion Picture Association of America (MPAA) - which is responsible for giving new releases age-appropriate audience ratings - after learning that a scene between her and co-star Shia LaBeouf had been cut from the final version of the film after being deemed inappropriate for audiences.

"After seeing the new cut of #CharlieCountryman I would like 2 share my disappointment with the MPAA, who thought it was necessary to censor a womans sexuality once again. The scene where the two main characters make 'love' was altered because someone felt that seeing a man give a woman oral sex made people 'uncomfortable' but the scenes in which people are murdered by having their heads blown off remained intact and unaltered, [sic]" she ranted on Twitter.
