Meta Verified

Meta has announced a new subscription service called Meta Verified, and it's causing a stir across social media. This feature is designed to increase authenticity and security on both Facebook and Instagram. Many are likening it to Twitter Blue, however, you get way more from Meta Verified, including actual "verification."

For $12 per month (or $15 per month if you subscribe through the App Store), users will get blue verification badges on their Facebook and Instagram account, additional impersonation protection, direct access to customer support, and 100 free stars to tip creators on Facebook. Meta Verified subscribers will also get access to exclusive stickers for Reels and Stories.

To take advantage of Meta Verified, you'll need to be at least 18 years old, and have a government-issued ID that matches the profile name and photo on your Facebook or Instagram account. And once you're verified, be sure to hold onto your username, date of birth and photo, because changing them means you'll have to go through the verification process again.

Meta Verified is being tested first in Australia and New Zealand before rolling out to other countries. But, let's face it, if you're a social media influencer or a business looking to stand out from the crowd, this could be the perfect tool for you.

All in all, it looks like Meta is putting more emphasis on user authenticity, and that's a welcome change. What do you think about Meta Verified?
