Marvin Gaye’s Family Sues Robin Thicke

Robin Thicke is being sued for copyright infringement over his hit song "Blurred Lines."
Marvin Gaye's children have filed legal papers accusing the singer and Pharrell Williams, who features on the track, of copying elements of the song "Got To Give It Up," according to The Hollywood Reporter. They are seeking damages and a portion of the profits from the song, which has been one of the biggest hits of 2013.
The lawsuit is in response to a claim brought in August by Robin and Pharrell, asking a court to rule their song did not infringe Marvin's copyright. In their legal papers - also filed on behalf of fellow collaborator T.I. (Clifford Harris, Jr.) - the trio insisted there were no similarities between the two songs "other than commonplace musical elements."

T.I. Talks Down Potential Jumper
Posted by K.C. Morgan Categories: Artist News, Gossip, Hip-Hop & Rap,

Musician T.I. helped save a life on Wednesday. The recording artist was listening to Ryan Cameron’s Atlanta radio show on V103 when he heard the news about a man preparing to jump off the downtown building from where the show is broadcast.
T.I. called Cameron and asked if he could help. The DJ advised the recording artist to come on down to the building. There, T.I. spoke to police and recorded a video message for the suicidal man. Police officers played the video for the potential jumper, who agreed to come down after watching it. The man was greeted by T.I. in the lobby.
In the video, T.I. said “Nothing is that bad. Nothing in life is worth taking your life. I’m here to help you. Please come down to talk to me.”
Cameron says that no one in the building will be pressing charges against the would-be jumper.
