In the midst of her parents' divorce, Ashlee Simpson seems to be taking comfort in her art as she offered up a teaser from the music video of her upcoming single, "Bat for a Heart." The 28 year-old mother-of-one seems to have upped her sex appeal for her fourth album, as she writhes around in lingerie and barely-there attire while dropping the F-bomb in the chorus of the song. She also seems to have taken some makeup cues from Taylor Momsen, caking on black eyeliner over her eyes.

The full video for the song will be released on November 21.

Johnny MarrJohnny Marr doesn't want to be a part of "someone else's band" anymore.

The guitarist - a former member of The Smiths, Modest Mouse and The Cribs - is working on his debut solo album The Messenger is no longer "reluctant" to front the project himself.

"It is late in the day to be making my debut. I didn't want to be in someone else's band at this point. In the past I might have been reluctant to stand up front, and I've been lucky enough to be in bands with great singers, so it wasn't necessary. But this is my band now, and the frontman in my band has to play guitar. I do both," he told NME.

The Smiths - also featuring singer Morrissey, drummer Mike Joyce and bass player Andy Rourke - broke up in 1987, but have constantly been the subject of reunion rumors since, although Johnny laughs them off: "Everybody seems to know more about a Smiths reunion than I do. Those rumors are like a sport for everyone involved bar the people who were in the group 30 years ago. But it's not happening."

Pharrell with Miley Cyrus and Tyler the CreatorMiley Cyrus is working with Tyler the Creator. EminemEminem has sparked speculation he will release a new album next year. "The Real Slim Shady" hitmaker has hinted his eighth record will come out in 2013 by having the date sewn into a piece of official merchandise.

Ahead of this weekend's baseball World Series showdown between the Detroit Tigers and the San Francisco Giants, a post on Eminem's Facebook page read, "For a limited time only in honor of the big games and the hometown team's return to The D, we are pleased to offer the Eminem Baseball Tribute Hat in both home and away colors. Side panel is dedicated to the landmark Eminem solo albums. A portion of the proceeds will go to The Marshall Mathers Foundation. Get them here. (sic)"

Brad Whitford and Joe Perry of AerosmithAerosmith claim it's the "end of an era" for rock 'n' roll music.

The "I Don't Want To Miss A Thing" hitmakers are releasing their first studio album in 11 years, Music From Another Dimension!, but guitarist Joe Perry says the music scene has changed forever: "It's the end of an era. People listen to music in a different way. They cherry-pick songs off records. They aren't going to want to listen to live bands anymore. I don't know if we will see The Black Keys doing two-and-a-half-hour sets in 10 years."

The band have spent a lot of time perfecting the album and teamed up with the late John Lennon's son, Julian, on one track after he heard frontman Steven Tyler singing in the shower. "A lot of weird stuff happens in Los Angeles. I was staying at a hotel where Julian Lennon was staying and one morning I was singing in the shower with the window open. I heard through the window, 'Steven?' and I shouted back, 'Julian?' After that, we brought Julian over to the studio and he sang on the opening track," he revealed.

Kesha on the cover of 'Vibe'Kesha insists she can sing without auto-tune. The "Tik Tok" hitmaker was determined to prove her critics wrong on her second album Warrior and has banished all technological tricks and added more rock guitars in order to show off her vocals.

"I got really sick of people saying that I couldn't sing, because I can do very few things confidently in my life, and one of them is that I can sing. I remember thinking [with Animal], 'Oh, it's just processed. People will learn that I can sing later.' But after reading some reviews that were like, 'She can't sing,' I finally was like, 'F**k that.'"

The controversial starlet - born Kesha Rose Sebert - is back in the charts after taking a short sabbatical at the end of 2011 because she felt she needed time to relax and to embark on a "spiritual journey." However, she admitted she had to ask her record label to "back off" when they started pressuring her to make new music.

Ne-Yo Adele

Ne-Yo is desperate to work with Adele. The "Let Me Love You" hitmaker wants to get in the studio with the pregnant "Someone Like You" singer when she is "done having babies" and insists she is at the very top of a huge list of musicians he would love to work with in his career.

"There is a list a mile long of people I want to work with, I just don't have the time. But top of that list right now is definitely Adele. I think she's pregnant right now so she's got some time away, but Adele, as soon as you get done having babies and doing all that then let me know, we need to get in the studio."

The Who

The Who "feel the ghosts" of Keith Moon and John Entwistle. The group's guitarist Pete Townshend admits he and bandmate Roger Daltrey find it difficult to capture the essence of the band without the late members, and it has been particularly hard since bassist John died in 2002.

"We feel the ghosts of Keith and John. The second phase of the Who in a sense was really when we started to tour again around the year 2000, 2001. We were still able to evoke the sound, particularly with [drummer] Zak Starkey. Now it's much more difficult even though Zak's there.

Demi LovatoDemi Lovato wants to bring more "emotion" to music. The "Skyscraper" hitmaker - who underwent a three-month stint in rehab in 2010 to receive help for self harm, bipolar disorder and an eating disorder - has learned to "connect" with her audience by being truthful about herself and admires the work of Adele and Taylor Swift, who make catchy, honest songs.

"For a long time, I was pretending to be someone that I wasn't, and I was miserable. When I came out and said, 'I'm human, I've got problems, but I'm willing to share them,' that's when I started to really connect. I've just begun working on my fourth album, and I want to do that in my music too. I'm tired of songs that don't have much emotion in them. I love the way that Adele has carved out a path for a singer that's very emotional, but I also love how Taylor Swift can do the same thing--she puts a lot into her songs yet they're still very catchy."
