Lady Gaga Goes Make-Up Free
Posted by Andru Edwards Categories: Celebrities, Health & Beauty,

Lady Gaga has shown the world what she looks like with no make-up. The "Born this Way" singer posted a photograph of herself on her Twitter page without her trademark war paint or flamboyant clothes to show her fans her natural look.
The 25-year-old pop superstar was dressed down in a vest but she did add some glamour by wearing a flower in her tied back hair. Accompanying the picture was a Tweet which read, "Have a beautiful day!" Perhaps Gaga was trying to inspire her fans - who she calls her "little monsters" - by showing them they should always be proud of themselves.

According to celebrity stylist Brad Goreski, Emma Stone's look is "flawless." The Crazy, Stupid, Love actress has recently wowed critics with her red carpet style and Brad thinks she's the most stylish starlet in young Hollywood.
"I think Emma Stone wears really high fashion looks with ease. I think her hair and makeup is always flawless. I just think she's really cool."
Brad - who works with the likes of Jessica Alba - admits Emma, 22, has a great stylist, something which not all young stars have: "Emma has a fantastic stylist who I admire very much. I lend a guiding hand. I continue to get work because people need to be brushed up a little bit."
Tom Ford Promises a Functional Cosmetic Line
Posted by Andru Edwards Categories: Fashion Designers, Health & Beauty,
Fashion designer Tom Ford insists that his new beauty collection only includes essentials. Ford recently launched the cosmetics range and while some of his peers come up with a whole variety of products, Tom has kept his as simple as possible.
"I don't like B.S. and a lot of promises, and there are a lot of products out there you don't even need. My brain works in the same way whatever I do. The approach is practical, architectural and I use the same vocabulary whether I'm designing clothing or cosmetics."
Tom says creating a cosmetics line has always been something he wanted to do because he had such an interest in make-up while growing up: "I've cared about cosmetics and make-up since I was a kid. When I was 14, I had to be taken to the emergency room because the cucumber slices I had put on my eyes - to camouflage the bags - had made them swell shut. I could eat cucumbers, but my eyes were clearly allergic to them."

Items Du Jour: Gwen for L’Oreal, Proenza Schouler, Daphne Talks

-- With her trademark red lips, it's about time a cosmetic company snatched Gwen Stefani up as their celebrity spokesperson! The singer-turned-fashion designer signed a contract with L'Oreal Paris; her full commercial will air during the Golden Globes.
-- Speaking of lips, Lindsay Lohan was spotted at the gym again (better there than at alcohol-infested locations), only this time her mouth looked detachable. I wonder if she's taking cues from her friend Kim Kardashian and blaming it on the flu...
-- Proenza Schouler released their second ever ad campaign. They're like the Givenchy ads, but with a splash of color. Thoughts?
-- If you're the least bit in love with fashion and you live in London, you ought to see Daphne Guinness speak at the Royal Academy on the 27th of the month. There's no other lecture on earth that could be greater than the psychology of clothes: "I once read an article in which a psychologist explained that, when we say we 'have nothing to wear,' it really means that we have nothing that expresses who we want to be that day," said the RA events and lectures manager Dr. Alison Bracker.

Dita Von Teese Keen For Own Cosmetics, Perfume Lines
Posted by Andru Edwards Categories: Celebrities, Health & Beauty, Models, News,
Dita Von Teese wants her own make-up line. The burlesque dancer, who was a spokesperson for the MAC AIDS Fund in 2006 and 2007, says she is keen to have own cosmetics range because she feels not every woman is catered for.
"I want to do my own make-up line, because I feel like things are missing in the world. I'm constantly trying to mix up colors. Also, I mix my own body make-up. I love the idea of beautiful packaging for cosmetics. I use a lot of vintage powder compacts, and I buy vintage lipstick tubes and transfer lip colors into them. I put my MAC lipstick into my vintage Helena Rubinstein tubes. I love the look of matte, velvety lips. Every girl should have a matte red and a matte fuchsia. And that's so hard to find these days."
As well as wanting her own make-up line, Dita - who is famed for her vintage-inspired wardrobe and glamorous look - is keen to release her own fragrance because she hates smelling like anyone else:

Experimental Evan Rachel Wood
Posted by Andru Edwards Categories: Celebrities, Health & Beauty,
True Blood actress Evan Rachel Wood loves experimenting with her look.
The actress, who is the face of Gucci’s Guilty perfume and famed for her daring style, is always changing her appearance as her “artistic” family have always encouraged her to be a bit different.
“I have fun playing with make-up. I try and surround myself with people who just aren’t afraid to be who they are and aren’t going to judge me for doing anything I’m doing.”
Evan also says she is obsessed with protecting her porcelain skin from the sun, telling People, “I am SPF crazy. I have sunscreen in the door of my car. I have sunscreen in my purse.”

Kim Kardashian Needs Make-Up
Posted by Andru Edwards Categories: Celebrities, Health & Beauty,
Reality star-turned-entrepreneur Kim Kardashian needs to be wearing make-up to feel sexy.
The 29-year-old socialite explained that while people think she looks like “a 19-year-old” when she opts for the natural look, she prefers the “glamour girl” look.
“When I don’t have make-up on, everyone’s like, ‘Whoa, you look 19!’ But I’m a glamour girl. I love make-up. I love hair. I don’t feel sexy unless I’m fully made-up.”
Despite the brunette beauty admitting that having Botox injections in the past was “not a good experience”, she wouldn’t be adverse to going under the knife for a more invasive procedure in the future.
“You know, I’ve tried Botox. I felt it made my eyes more, like, squinty and small. It was not a good experience for me. You have to grow old gracefully. I don’t know if I’ll be saying that after kids - I may want a lift or something - so I’m definitely not opposed to it. But I don’t have the butt implants everyone says I have!”
