Carine RoitfeldCarine Roitfeld has done pretty well for herself since her departure as editor-in-chief of French Vogue: she has launched a makeup line for MAC, published the acclaimed CR Fashion Book, and now has become the Global Fashion Director of Harper's Bazaar!

The stylish French writer will team up with Bazaar's creative director Stephen Gen to work on the fashion news stories for all 26 publications worldwide.

So what did the 58 year-old have to say about her new position? "I am thrilled to be contributing to Bazaar, a brand with a rich history of creativity. Working with Stephen and a roster of talented photographers will be a wonderful collaboration and one that will give these stories a truly global audience."

Although the announcement has excited Roitfeld's fans across the globe, they'll unfortunately have to wait until March 2013 to be able to pick up an issue of Bazaar with her trademark exotic touches on it!
