Jenny McCarthy Feels Sorry for Amanda Bynes
Posted by Andru Edwards Categories: Movies, Television, Meltdowns, Rivalries,

Jenny McCarthy feels sorry for Amanda Bynes. The 40-year-old actress, who called a truce with the 27-year-old Easy A star last month after an argument on Twitter, thinks that Amanda could be suffering from a mental illness and needs help.
Jenny opened up about their recent feud on The View on Tuesday saying, "At night you know how you repeat stories you read? So I repeated that the police were at Amanda Bynes' house. I guess Amanda Bynes responded to me saying I was an ugly 80-year-old bleep. I just went 'Oh no.' I immediately said 'sorry girl, just looking out for you.' And the backlash between her fans and my mommy warriors was a war going on for three hours."

Billy Ray Cyrus: Divorce Dropped
Posted by K.C. Morgan Categories: Music, Television, Divorce, Child Stars, Rumors, Where Are They Now?,
“I want to put my family back together,” Billy Ray Cyrus, one-hit wonder and father to Miley Cyrus, will tell The View on Friday. “Things are the best they’ve ever been.” Thanks to the recent progress, Billy Ray will put a halt to his divorce plans and stay in his marriage (which, so far, has lasted 17 years).
“I feel like I got my Miley back, in a way,” he revealed at the Thursday taping. “I feel like we are the daddy and daughter that we were before Hannah Montana happened.” Minus a few years, some questionable photos and a salvia-smoking scandal, of course.
Billy Ray and wife Tish issued a joint statement about their disintegrating marriage in October. In a later interview with GQ, the country singer blamed Hannah Montana for “destroying” his family.
But on The View, he’ll change his tune. “I don’t think Hannah Montana ruined my family,” he backpedaled. “Now fame, fame is a different animal. You’ve got to be careful with that thing.” Or, so he’s heard.

Ricky Martin to Sit Down with Oprah
Posted by Veronica Santiago Categories: Music, Television,
For the first time since coming out of the closet, Ricky Martin will sit down for his first tell-all television interview.
The singer, who announced that he was gay earlier this year, is scheduled to appear on The Oprah Winfrey Show next Tuesday.
A promo for the broadcast promises to address Ricky's sexuality. Viewers will also get an intimate look at the single father with his twin boys: Matteo and Valentino.
That discussion will air the same day as Martin's autobiography, Me, hits stores. On November 3, Ricky will then visit Barbara Walters -- who has said she regrets how she handled a previous interview with Martin -- and the other ladies of The View.

Barbara Walters to Have Heart Valve Surgery
Posted by Veronica Santiago Categories: Television, Videos,
UPDATE: Walters’ doctors say they are “pleased with the outcome” of her surgery.
Although Elisabeth Hasselbeck is quite often the person who generates news for The View, this morning it was Barbara Walters’ turn.
On today’s broadcast, the 80-year-old journalist announced that she will be taking time off from the program to attend to a personal issue. “You know how I always say to you how healthy I am… I mean it drives you crazy… Never missed a day’s work,” Walters told her fellow cohosts. “Well, I’m going to make up for it. Later this week, I’m going to have surgery to replace one faulty heart valve,” she said.

Elisabeth Hasselbeck Pulls an Elaine, Exposes Breast
Posted by Veronica Santiago Categories: Television, Celebrity Babies, Videos,
Although I’m admittedly not a huge Elisabeth Hasselbeck fan, I did learn one valuable lesson from her today.
During her first day back from maternity leave, the View co-host shared a number of stories, including one about unwanted exposure. After catching her new son, Isaiah, in a happy moment post-feeding, the mother of three whipped out her iPhone to snap his beautiful grin. Unfortunately, Elisabeth sent out the pic to her family distribution list before double-checking it.
Turns out her son was apparently smiling because he was eyeing…her nipple. (The iPhone doesn’t already have an app for accidental nudity?) “It’s worse than drunk dialing, to forward pictures post-pardum,” Hasselbeck claimed.

Kara DioGuardi Outs Lambert, Adam Disses Aiken
Posted by Veronica Santiago Categories: Music, Television, Videos,
Given all the recent talk about American Idol‘s Adam Lambert, you would have thought the Season 8 runner-up was actually the winner. Maybe these two new tidbits will now put some of the chatter to rest.
Is Adam Lambert gay?
Even though it was believed the 27-year-old might soon reveal that answer to Rolling Stone magazine, someone else may have already done the work for him. On today’s episode of The View, judge Kara DioGuardi said Lambert’s sexuality has never been a mystery.
“I don’t think that Adam was ever in [the closet]. You know, I think he was always openly out.” Kara told the co-hosts. When Barbara Walters questioned that statement, Kara added: “From what I’ve seen on the various forms of things, I do. I never thought he wasn’t.”

Tom Cruise Talks About Jett Travolta’s Death
Posted by Veronica Santiago Categories: Movies, Television,
In a pre-taped interview for The View, Tom Cruise talked to the ladies about the death of Jett Travolta. Tom - who is a well-known Scientologist - was quite close with both John and Kelly.
When asked for a comment on the tragedy, the choked up star found it difficult to express his emotions. “I remember Jett when he was born. I saw him when he was a few months old and John just adored him.”
Tom went on to deny any rumors about Scientologists being anti-medication. “That’s not true. It’s actually the opposite. They say, ‘Look get your physical, get your medication.’ Illness is handled. It’s actually the exact opposite.”
That segment with Cruise will air this Friday.

Jennifer Aniston Claims She Was Photoshopped
Posted by Veronica Santiago Categories: Movies, Television,
In the event you were busy downing eggnog last week, here’s an interesting tidbit you might have missed.
During a sit-down with the ladies of The View, Jennifer Aniston joked (?) that her sexy GQ spread was not just about good genes. The 39-year-old claims that her Look-at-Me-Now-Brad-Pitt-body was also Photoshopped. (In case you are not familiar with Photoshop, it’s the same editing program that supposedly gave Mischa Barton cellulite.)
So was Jennifer simply being honest…or was she trying to make the rest of us feel better? (Or was she actually just talking about the tie?) Either way, I’m reminded of a resolutions list that needs some dusting off…
Hollywood Stands United Behind New President-Elect
Posted by K.C. Morgan Categories: Movies, Music, Television, Parties, Videos, Editorials,
“God knows I fought hard for the other side,” The View’s Elisabeth Hasselbeck admitted on-air. “Today is a victory for this country,” she even managed a smile. “No one lost today.” Her comments, a shade different than her rabid Republican rantings of episodes past, are similar to the words of other celebs who today are celebrating a page in history. Who, today, are celebrating the stunning victory of a man named Barack Obama. “I haven’t felt this good,” she poured out seemingly heartfelt joy for the new President-elect, the first Democrat to get into the White House since Bill Clinton - and she isn’t alone.

Star Jones Responds to Barbara Walters’ Comments
Posted by Veronica Santiago Categories: Television, Editorials,
If you’ve been hiding under a rock somewhere, you might not have known that Barbara Walters is currently promoting her new autobiography, Audition.
On yesterday’s episode of Oprah, the journalist actually talked about other matters that didn’t concern a senator or an affair. In fact, the show started off on one of my other favorite topics, Star Jones. And while I thought Barbara did her best to talk about the situation in a tactful manner (it’s not like everyone didn’t know Star had gastric bypass), the former View co-host had an entirely different opinion.
