Mike Starr’s roommate, who was not identified by name during his TMZ interview, says that the reality star was taking methadone and anxiety medication just before he died on Tuesday, a combination which may have been lethal.
The roommate said Starr was still working toward sobriety following his Celebrity Rehab and Sober House stints, but on Monday night he was “mixing” his medications. Officially, the cause of death for the former Alice in Chains bassist has not been determined.
“Mike [Starr] was a beautiful person who was fighting to stay sober,” said the roommate. “I am going to miss him greatly.”

Andy Dick: A Menace to Suburbia?

TMZ has obtained a copy of a 911 tape which features a frightened female caller who claims a strange man “walked right into” her home. Allegedly, the man is comedian Andy Dick, whom the caller describes as a “well-to-do” white male who is extremely “wasted.”
The caller is clearly distressed as she reports the events to the dispatcher, who oddly sounds like a very bored Jennifer Tilly. According to the caller, Dick entered the Los Angeles residence in a highly intoxicated state, claiming to be looking for his son’s home. The caller’s husband escorted Dick outside, where he proceeded to try and calm the comedian down. At some point, Andy Dick wandered toward another home with the apparent intention of walking inside it as well. After a few moments, police arrived on the scene to cool the situation.
Andy Dick recently appeared on Celebrity Rehab: Sober House. It doesn’t appear that the treatment worked. Listen to the 911 call in its entirety.
