Posted by Andru Edwards Categories: Movies, Music, Divorce,
Katy Perry has hinted that Russell Brand was threatened by her career.
The "Teenage Dream" hitmaker - split from her Rock Of Ages star husband in December after just 14 months of marriage - and although Katy thought he was "the one," she admitted that work commitments got in the way.
"I thought to myself, 'When I find that person that's going to be my life partner, I won't ever have to choose [between the partner and my career]. They won't be threatened or have weird motives.' Then I started to realize, that's not true," she explained in her documentary, Katy Perry: Part of Me.
Katy has now moved on and is dating Florence + the Machine guitarist Rob Ackroyd but says she did everything in her power to save her marriage, before finally acknowledging it was over: "I have that same belief system with everything, from career to my life to my personal life, everything. And I will do everything it takes to not fail. And I did everything it took, but it still failed."

Posted by Andru Edwards Categories: Music, Divorce,
Katy Perry is taking a break from showbiz.
The 27-year-old singer reportedly wants to step back from her career and take time to properly recover from the breakdown of her marriage to Russell Brand last year. "I need to let my heart heal," she reportedly told the Daily Mirror.
Katy spent much of her 14-month marriage on her world tour and has hinted that her career was one of the causes for the split: "For a modern woman, it is important to be supported and that there is equality in every aspect."
Katy recently insisted she doesn't regret her failed relationship with Russell, 37. "Everybody asks me if I regret something, they ask me if it's going to be that one moment [her marriage]. Actually it's really a lesson learned and it's super valuable, I could not buy this lesson. And I apply it to my life, I learn and a lot of the time, I get really good material for my songs."

Selma Blair’s Dark Side
Posted by Andru Edwards Categories: Movies, Features,
Selma Blair often goes to a "darker side" of herself.
The Dark Horse actress does not think she has mental issues but does not always take on life in a positive way: "Just as my CV has light and dark sides, I suppose there are two sides to my own character. I go from being hugely popular and entertaining to really not. I'm not a manic depressive, but I can really go to the dark side."
Despite often turning away from major roles in favor of supporting ones, Selma reveals she was recently offered a reality TV show, something she turned down. "You have to do it all to make a living, unless you are Cate Blanchett. You have to write five books and come out with a line of socks. I got approached to do a reality show now so long ago. I decided I'm too much reality for anyone. I don't have the gaggle of goofy friends, and you have to do a lot of branding."
Selma is now looking forward to her life and is hopeful of where her career is going: "I am hopeful again. I want a good life and a great career more than I ever have. I don't know that I actually believed I deserved one until now."
Lady Gaga is a 200-Pound Toddler

Lady Gaga is a "200-pound toddler."
The eccentric popstar's manager Troy Carter was asked at the Music Matters conference in Singapore if he believes his client has made it in music yet and bluntly replied "no" before calling her a "200-pound toddler."
"As big as she has become, globally, she is still a developing act. So we have to treat her as a developing act. She has to spend time in a market. We look at it as an investment. She's a 200-pound toddler. The truth is, and it's the reason why when we come to Singapore, we are going to be in Singapore for little over a week. It was important not to come into a market and play really quick and leave and go to another market. It's about diving deep with the fanbase and spending time in the local territories. I don't feel as if she's made it yet. You ask me this in 25 years and it might be a different answer. We've got a long way to go. She's on the edge as well.''
Troy also revealed if the record label had their way Gaga would release more albums but he wants her to build her brand and focus on touring extensively with each album, even visiting regions such as India where they won't make any money.
Carrie Underwood: ‘My Marriage is Not Normal’
Posted by Andru Edwards Categories: Music, Sports, Features,
Carrie Underwood knows her relationship with husband Mike Fisher is "not normal." The country singer - who wed ice hockey player Mike in July 2010 - admits they "have their moments" as a couple because of her busy work schedule but they always manage to work things out eventually.
"He'll probably try for the rest of his life to really understand it. It's still a life to be honest, it's just the life that I lead. I know it's not normal, so we both have our moments when we have to try and figure things out," she said.
Carrie considers herself a "strong female" because of her upbringing but would not say she is a "feminist."
"I wouldn't go so far as to say I am a feminist, that can come off as a negative connotation. But I am a strong female. My parents raised me to be pretty independent and I grew up - I have sisters but they're a lot older than me - an only child. I feel like that contributes to how I handle myself and how I carry myself," she added.

Kim Kardashian is Proud She Built Her Empire
Posted by Andru Edwards Categories: Television, Features,
Kim Kardashian maintains that she built her own success despite being born wealthy.
The Keeping Up With The Kardashians star said that despite being born affluent, she deserves her success: "Yes I was born rich; it was a classic Californian lineage: lavishness and ostentation, luxury mansions with pools, private clubs, exclusive friendships, and luxury cars. Despite the affluence, at only 31 I've been able to build my own empire in the world of entertainment and, although looks and friendships are important, I want the new generation to understand that if you don't believe in yourself and in your own ideas, you go nowhere."
Kim - who helped her entire family shoot to fame - insists she didn't have her own identity as a youngster. "I've always been very shy, ever since I was a girl: I copied and did everything my sister Kourtney asked me to do, even when at school she would put me in embarrassing situations with boys. She was my idol."
Justin Bieber: Baby Scandal Almost Made Me Quit
Posted by Andru Edwards Categories: Music, Child Stars, Rumors,
Justin Bieber has admitted that Mariah Yeater's paternity suit almost made him quit the music business.
The "Boyfriend" singer - who is currently dating Selena Gomez - was accused of fathering another woman's child last year.
"At the beginning of it all I was in Florida, away from my friends and family and I was pretty sad. I got to the point where I thought, 'I don't want to do this. I just want to be normal.' It was difficult because I'd never gone through anything like that," he said.
Justin confessed that it was his mentor Usher, who encouraged him to toughen up: "Usher was like, 'Prepare to have this for the rest of your career because it's not going to stop.' He's gone through some stuff and most artists go through their fair share of bull. That was just my first time."
"I feel sorry for her more than anything. Everything that hurts you makes you stronger in the end. You've got to learn from the bad things that happen," he added about Mariah.
Scarlett Johansson Doesn’t Like Her ‘Sexiest Woman’ Title

Scarlett Johansson doesn't like being called "the sexiest woman alive." The 27-year-old star regularly tops polls naming her sexy and beautiful but she would prefer it if she could remain anonymous.
"There are so many wonderful women out there, and they aren't even actresses! I don't like being labeled as 'the sexiest woman alive.' As an actress I prefer to maintain the anonymity," she said.
The Avengers star was previously married to Ryan Reynolds and has also been romantically linked to actor Sean Penn and is believed to be dating advertising executive Nate Naylor, but she is keen to keep her personal life private: "I don't talk about my private relationships anymore. Kendra Wilkinson Will Not Pose Nude Again
Posted by Andru Edwards Categories: Television, Features,
Kendra Wilkinson has retired from posing nude.
The former The Girls Next Door star and Playboy model will not get naked in her latest reality show, Kendra on Top, because she feels there is "more to life" than posing nude.
"You will see the traditional Kendra antics on my new show, but I have retired a couple things, like Playboy and the nudity. I just figure that there's more to life than getting nude and showing your boobs. I have added a lot of layers to my life and I'm more spontaneous now than I once was, but I don't have to take off my top," she told US Weekly.
The 27-year-old star - who is married to Hank Baskett, with whom she has one son, Hank IV, two - may have moved out of the Playboy mansion in 2008, but she will be reunited with its owner and her ex-boyfriend, Hugh Hefner, on her new show.

James Franco Praises Kristen Stewart
Posted by Andru Edwards Categories: Movies, Child Stars,

James Franco has praised Kristen Stewart's acting skills. The actor spoke about the actress, 22, in an article for the Huffington Post in which he analysed her latest movie Snow White And The Huntsman.
"Some might argue that Stewart - or any young upstart buoyed by the surge of a successful franchise, album, or Internet meme - is just as unjustly charmed. Some could say she had a lucky break when she was cast in Twilight and then rose to international stardom based less on her own skills than on the success of the project. But, whereas Snow White would more than likely be inarticulate, diseased and frail after being confined in a tower for 10 years, Kristen Stewart landed Twilight after years of working with some of the best directors in the business (David Fincher, Sean Penn). She actually does deserve the crown."
