VIDEO: TV Envy Interviews Molly Ringwald


Earlier this week, TV Envy had the opportunity to chat with actress —star of Sixteen Candles and The Breakfast Club – on a variety of subjects including her new book (Getting the Pretty Back), teen pregnancy in Hollywood, her Pretty in Pink dress, reality TV and her connection to another famous redhead.

In addition, Ringwald talked to us about her recent partnership with Ragu. The working mother of three explains why she teamed up with the famous brand and how the company’s Old World Style sauces play a role in her family’s nutrition.   • Rizzoli & Isles (TNT, 10 p.m.):  “A shooter aims for runners participating in the Boston Marathon.” Boston Marathon, biathlon—same diff!

  • The Secret Life of the American Teenager (ABC, 8 p.m.):  “Ben and Adrian have ulterior motives for getting engaged.” He really needs a new Wii while she’s eyeing a new bedspread.
  • Intervention (A&E, 9 p.m.):  “A flight attendant battles alcoholism.” The intervention takes a turn when he grabs two beers and flees via the emergency slide.
  • The Big C (Showtime, 10:30 p.m.):  Series premiere. “Suburban Minneapolis wife and schoolteacher Cathy (), who is dying from skin cancer, begins to take charge of her life and live it up a little.”  Here’s to SPF 15—Woo Hoo!

  • The Bachelorette (ABC, 8pm):  “Ali questions some of the bachelors’ sincerity. Indeed, two of them seem to be as focused on each other as they are on her.” Well, they did they say they came there looking for love.
  • The Secret Life of the American Teenager (ABC Family, 8pm):  “Amy runs into Bristol Palin in her dorm, and soon she realizes the music program is for teen moms.” Palin clearly wasn’t accepted into the program for her actual talent.
  • Incredible to Edible (TLC, 10pm):  “A couple think they can cook, but their inedible boiled fish and microwaved eggs prove otherwise.” Oh, hold up - you can microwave eggs?

First Look: Bristol Palin Makes Her Acting Debut

What would it sound like if the robot from Small Wonder crossed paths with Bristol Palin? Something like this.

On the July 5th episode of , Sarah Palin’s 19-year-old daughter uses her real-life experience to play a fellow teen mom at Amy’s band camp.

Let’s hope the rest of the hour fares better for Bristol. Otherwise, Tripp Johnston’s mommy will need to find a new way to bring home the bacon.

Secret Life’s Second Season Closes on a Cliffhanger

Well, is she or isn’t she? Fans hoping to find the answer on ’s Season 2 finale were disappointed when the question remained unanswered at the close of the episode. We still don’t know if Adrian Lee (Francia Raisa) is carrying Ben Boykewich’s (Kenny Baumann) baby, which makes it even harder to wait for the new episodes to premiere in June.

Bristol Palin to Cameo on Secret Life of the American Teenager

The Palin family might not be fans of Family Guy, but they will still let the occasional show exploit their story.

It’s just been announced that Bristol Palin - the 19-year-old daughter of Sarah Palin - will make her acting debut later this summer. Which program will she be on? , of course!

Bristol, who gave birth to son Tripp in December 2008, will cameo on the ABC Family program as herself. She will run into the show’s other young mother at a music program being held for teen moms.
