Preview Season 2 of Jersey Shore

Posted by Veronica Santiago Categories: Prime Time, Reality, MTV, Video,

Since I stopped watching the back around the time MTV made its first trip to New Orleans, I really can’t speak about the program anymore. That said, I have a feeling a new version of Real World: Miami would probably look something like this.

When returns on July 29, the orange-hued cast members will be taking their antics to an entirely new location. What do the “grenades” of Miami Beach have in store in for them? Preview Season 2’s “GTL” action here.

Quote of the Day: Ryan Phillippe on His Reality TV Obsession

Posted by Veronica Santiago Categories: Prime Time, Reality, Cable, Gossip,

Ryan PhillippeJersey Shore cast

“I was really into MTV’s . Oh my God. I got really obsessed. I would count down until the next episode—literally, like, “OK, four more days….” I was that into it. I’m from the East Coast and I knew guys like that growing up, so it was fascinating. I could relate to it in some strange way. The most entertaining character is The Situation: There’s so much insecurity going on there. But we don’t need to analyze the cast!”

Domino’s Answers Jersey Shore’s Snooki

Posted by K.C. Morgan Categories: Prime Time, Reality, Cable, MTV,

Jersey Shore - SnookiDomino’s Pizza isn’t the first sponsor to back out of supporting MTV’s controversial …but they are the first sponsor to release direct statements regarding one of the reality show’s cast members. After Nicole (“Snooki”) Polizzi waxed poetic about their decision (“F—- you! If you don’t want to watch, don’t watch. Just shut the hell up!), Domino’s delivered a few far more eloquent zingers of their own.

“We have no issue with MTV or the programming it airs,” a spokesperson stated. “Just like viewers have a choice of what they want to watch, advertisers have a choice on what shows they want to advertise.” Domino’s Pizza has no problems with MTV, but that doesn’t mean they care for the Shore’s Snooki. “There’s no need to get into a war with this young girl, because tick tock, her fifteen minutes are almost up.”

Jersey Shore has been dubbed as “wildly offensive” by the New Jersey Italian American Legislative Caucus. The reality series has recently been eliciting a lot of negative press for the way the show’s Italian-American cast behaves and speaks. MTV maintains that the cable network does not intend to stereotype or offend in any way.
