Robert Pattinson will star as a magazine photographer in Life
The Twilight Saga actor will appear as Dennis Stock in the new movie - based on a true story - which looks at the cameraman's friendship with actor James Dean. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Robert will star opposite Dane DeHaan as the Life magazine photographer, and work on the film is expected to start in 2014.
The real-life pair met shortly before James rose to fame with movies like East of Eden and Rebel Without a Cause, and Dennis took several iconic photographs of the legendary actor shortly before he became a star.
He has also been rumored to be set for Queen of the Desert, which will tell the story of Gertrude Bell and T.E. Lawrence. However, would-be co-star Naomi Watts has admitted she isn't sure when the Werner Herzog will start filming: "We'll wait and see. He's a director I'm completely in awe of. He's a wonderful filmmaker and documentarian. It's a fantastic character, great story. I'm not sure when it's going to take place yet; there's been so much travel, as well, and I've got little kids, so we'll see if it happens later this year or next year."

Earth Day 2010 is here, and the Discovery Channel Store has an amazing deal that we had to let you in on to celebrate the occasion—you can get both the Planet Earth series and the Life series as a Blu-ray set for $50. Shipping is $4, so for $54 total, you get both documentary series on Blu-ray, which would normally cost $169.90 in total. It’s basically a steal, the visuals are jaw-dropping, and it’s a bit more Earth Day-ish than Avatar.

Mischa Barton Happy With Hospital Stint
Posted by Andru Edwards Categories: D-List, Television, Meltdowns, Rumors,
The Beautiful Life: TBL actress Mischa Barton thinks that being sectioned was a “good” thing.
The recently unemployed star was placed under an involuntary psychiatric hold earlier this year but says she appreciated the chance to take time out and reassess her life.
“I went to the hospital because of pain with my wisdom teeth and I ended up getting ‘put in,’ but that’s because I was so overwhelmingly stressed out and upset. I think it was my teeth and the stress of having a new job and traveling. I was miserable. Actresses aren’t given the time to recover after stuff like that - you’re expected to bounce back from surgery and work right away again. I was shocked it went that far but I think it was necessary for me to take that time out. I’m so much more settled and calm now. Ultimately, it was a positive thing.”

Wednesday Ratings: The Unusuals Does the Usual
Posted by Veronica Santiago Categories: Comedy, Drama, Music, Prime Time, Reality, Sci-Fi/Horror, ABC, CBS, FOX, NBC, The CW, America’s Next Top Model, American Idol, Lost, Scrubs, Ratings,
Despite a flurry of promotion for the new series, ABC’s The Unusuals did what most shows do in that time slot: not much of anything. The premiere lost 18% of its lead-in’s audience and made it that much easier for FOX to dominate.
8pm
- Lie to Me (8.4 million, 2.5/8 in 18-49) fell by 600,000.
- The New Adventures of Old Christine (7.3 million, 2.1/7) and Gary Unmarried (7.3 million, 2.2/7) finished with similar numbers.
- Scrubs (4.7 million, 1.8/6) lost 300,00; Better Off Ted (4.2 million, 1.7/5) dropped 500,000.
- America’s Next Top Model (3.7 million, 1.7/5) was down by 200,000.

Wednesday Ratings: CBS Gets Last Laugh from Special
Posted by Veronica Santiago Categories: Comedy, Drama, Music, Prime Time, Reality, Sci-Fi/Horror, Specials, ABC, CBS, FOX, NBC, The CW, America’s Next Top Model, American Idol, Lost, Scrubs, Ratings,
Watching people work ordinary jobs might not seem interesting, but it apparently is when celebrities do it. The April Fools’ Special, I Get That a Lot, surprised many last night by pulling in stronger than expected numbers. Unfortunately, a win over Lie to Me wasn’t quite enough for CBS. Idol still put FOX on top for the night.
8pm
- I Get That a Lot (3.4/10 in 18-49) had 10.3 million laughing.
- Lie to Me (9 million, 2.6/8) was down 10% from the last fresh episode.
- Law & Order: Criminal Intent* (5.1 million, 1.2/4) did twice as well as The Chopping Block.
- Scrubs (5 million, 1.9/6) slid by 300,000; Better Off Ted (4.7 million, 1.8/5) remained steady.
- America’s Next Top Model (3.9 million, 1.7/5) grew by 1.1 million.
