Apple EarPods headphones

Apple has announced that it went back to the drawing board and spent three years redesigning its iconic headphones. The result? EarPods. According to Apple, the EarPods headphones  offer a much more natural fit across the board, and the acoustic quality that is typically found in higher-end earphones. The headphones feature a two-grille design, and sit at the edge of your ear canal with the main speaker doing the work. You can get a pair of the new Apple EarPods today for $29, or if you plan on picking up the new iPhone 5, iPod touch, or iPod nano, the EarPods will be included.

Redesigned Apple headphones appear on video

New Apple headphones

The fine folks at Tinh Tê have managed to snag what appears to be a new, redesigned pair of the iconic Apple earphones. The alleged iPhone earphones appear cone-shaped, perhaps so they may fit snugly in the ear canal. Good news to all small-eared readers out there: this redesign would probably keep them from popping out while bumping to music, or running with the Nike+ app. If the redesign turns out to be true, they would be a welcome addition to be included with the next-generation iPhone. All the rumors are pointing to a  September 12 Apple iPhone announcement. Thanks to Google translate, it is understood that the earphones are more compact than previous models. According to the reports, the sound quality is much improved and the bass is significantly louder. Video after the break!

Monster teams up with Livestrong on latest iSport headphones

Monster iSport Livestrong

It seems that most of Monster's headphone lineup for CES 2012 is based on multiple partnerships - we've already seen the Gratitude headphones (a collaboration with Earth, Wind & Fire), Diamond Tears - Edge (a collabo with J.Y. Parks), and the VEKTR headphones that are the result of a partnership with Diesel. Up next, the iSport Livestrong Edition headphones, aimed at athletes and sports enthusiasts. They obviously feature Livestrong's recognizable bright yellow color on both the cable and earbuds, and a portion of all sales will be donated to the Lance Armstrong Foundation. You can find them at RadioShack next month for $179.95, and in other retailers later this year.

Monster Gratitude headphones earbuds

Today at CES 2012 Monster Cable unveiled its new Gratitude in-ear headphones. These earbuds were created in alliance with Earth, Wind & Fire, and are specifically tunes to reproduce the nuances of live music and bring out the details of each instrument being placed, with the end result being a more natural, immersive sound. The physical design of the Gratitude headphones features a rose gold finish, and a new design that allows the earpiece to to rest deeper in the ear canal without being uncomfortable. A custom carrying case is also included with each pair. Look for them to hit stores soon for $229.

VEKTR on-ear headphones by Monster and Diesel debut at CES 2102

Monster Diesel VEKTR

This morning at CES 2012 Monster Cable announced the VEKTR on-ear headphones. Partnering with Diesel, the fashion lifestyle brand, they've created a stylish headphone that features strong lines in a diamond-cut design. Of course, looks are great, but with headphones that sell for $249.95, you're also gonna want to make sure they sound good. Monster says that VEKTR offers a premium-quality listening solution, and this is the company that brought us the Beats by Dr. Dre audio line as well, so we trust them. Aside from the VEKTR on-ears, Monster will also be releasing an in-ear model as well, which will sell for $149, which will feature a jet black earpiece with yellow accent, and the Diesel logo. Look for both models to arrive later this quarter.
