Britney Spears Returns to How I Met Your Mother
Posted by Veronica Santiago Categories: Comedy, Prime Time, CBS, Editorial, Gossip, Ratings, Renewals,

Even though Sarah Connor has managed to get itself off the renewal bubble, there’s a list of others shows out there still aiming to get their golden tickets.
Believing there’s nothing wrong with a bit of promotional overkill, How I Met Your Mother will be looking to once again milk something out of their celebrity cash cow. (No pun intended.) According to People, a source reports that Britney Spears will indeed make another appearance on the comedy. Her first stint on the CBS series helped give the show its highest ratings ever.
Now if this latest publicity stunt doesn’t get the network to renew HIMYM once and for all, I don’t know what will. Will Jason Segel need to go full frontal? I’ve seen Forgetting Sarah Marshall. I know he’d do it.

Sarah Connor Chronicles Slated to Return
Posted by Veronica Santiago Categories: Drama, Prime Time, Sci-Fi/Horror, FOX, Renewals,

Although the network hasn’t officially declared it ‘renewed’, TV Guide is reporting that Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles will be returning for the 2008-09 season.
Despite all the money and promotion devoted to the show’s premiere, a ratings drop-off has had FOX execs wondering whether the series was too costly an investment. Apparently they’ve since decided it would be silly to try and create something else from scratch.
Good news, Summer Glau fans. You now have something to look forward to next year.

The Sarah Connor Chronicles Are Coming to TV
Posted by Christina Furtado Categories: Action, Drama, Prime Time, Talent,
Fox Broadcasting has greenlit a pilot called The Sarah Connor Chronicles, based, of course, on the popular Terminator movies. David Nutter will direct the pilot, and Warner Bros. TV and Andy Vajna and Mario Kassar’s C2 Pictures (producers of the most recent movie) will produce it. Nutter has directed the pilots of shows tha have gone on to be hits, such as Smallville, Without a Trace, and Supernatural. He also directed the pilot of Dark Angel, the James Cameron project, which may be one reason he was chosen for this.
The new show will focus on Sarah and John Connor during the time they spent on the run after Terminator 2: Judgment Day. Casting will begin immediately (I’m assuming Linda Hamilton is not a possibility), and filming will start in early 2007.
