• 10 Things I Hate About You (ABC Family, 8pm):  “While on suspension, Kat sneaks into school to take a test.” Kids these days—if they’re not itching to text, they’re dying to take tests.
• 24 (FOX, 9pm):  “Taylor gives Jack a crucial assignment.” His mission: Safely deliver Conan O’Brien to FOX before times runs out.
• Kell on Earth (Bravo, 10pm):  “The staffers throw a birthday party for Kell.” The interns will be saddled with perfecting the seating arrangements for musical chairs.

• Dancing with the Stars (ABC, 8pm):  Tonight’s Season 6 premiere focuses only on the men.  I think it’s safe to say Julianne Hough won’t be making it a three-peat with Adam Carolla.
• The Big Bang Theory (CBS, 8pm):  New episode.  “Sheldon and Leonard are asked to a physics conference to present their work together.”  I’ve always wondered - if this show were to air on any other day, would it be half as successful?
• How I Met Your Mother (CBS, 8:30):  New episode.  “Ted decides to live life like Barney on St. Patrick’s Day.”  You don’t want to know what they use as their lucky charms.
• Two and a Half Men (CBS, 9pm):  New episode.  “Charlie teaches Alan how to break up with a woman.”  I hear hiring prostitutes can make a woman leave you.
• The Bachelor (ABC, 9:30):  Season 12 premiere.  “Bachelor Matt Grant, a 27-year-old British financier, meets his 25 would-be soul mates.”  Apparently in America, you can finally afford to woo twice as many women as you can in the UK.

Big Brother 9: Two House Guests Rushed To The Hospital

I’m starting to firmly believe that the Big Brother 9 house is cursed. First there was the Autism controversy that convinced Lowes to yank its advertising, then a massive brawl that was mostly too offensive to show on network TV, and finally a contestant’s gay porn career was revealed on the internet.  Now we’ve learned two of the contestants in the house had to be rushed to the hospital last night in two separate medical emergencies.

Amanda, a 23-year old paralegal from Minnesota, collapsed and began having seizures. She is reportedly hypoglycemic and wasn’t getting enough nutrition due to some type of food restriction that hasn’t been explained yet in the CBS version of the show. (As I’ve mentioned before, cameras from the house stream live footage 24/7 to people who pay to subscribe.)  Other house guests had to activate what’s called the “panic button” reserved for real-life emergencies. That button contacts police and/or fire personnel.

The clip of Amanda’s seizure is almost too disturbing to watch which, of course, has made it an instant hit on YouTube.  (You can see some of that video after the jump.)

Monday Ratings:  CBS Wins Lackluster Evening

Strong showings from Two and a Half Men and CSI: Miami gave CBS the advantage last night:

8pm

• A 2-hour Deal or No Deal (3.4/9 in 18-49) averaged 12.7 million.
• A new How I Met Your Mother (8.45 million, 3.3/9) was up almost 2 million;The Big Bang Theory* (7.53 million, 2.8/7) saw a 800,000 bump.
• ABC’s I Want A Dog, Charlie Brown (2.6/7) entertained 7.8 million.
• Everybody Hates Chris (2.09 million, 0.9/2) and Aliens in America (1.84 million, 0.7/2) both saw slight increases.

9pm

• Two and a Half Men* (11.7 million, 3.8/9 in 18-49) was down about 600,000; Rules of Engagement* (9.61 million, 3.3/8) lost about 800,000.
• A Dance-less Samantha Who? (6.7 million, 2.8/7) slid another 800,000; Notes from the Underbelly (4.56 million, 2.0/5) dropped 1 million.
• K-Ville (5.13 million, 1.5/4) saw an increase of 300,000.
• Both Girlfriends (2.05 million, 0.9/2) and The Game (2.4 million, 1.2/3) improved from last week’s numbers.
