Nick Jonas Might Be the Next American Idol Judge

Nick JonasNick Jonas has made it apparent that he wants to serve as a judge on American Idol.

"The rumors are true… I am being considered to be a judge on American Idol, and it would be a dream come true if it happens. #nickonidol," he wrote on his Twitter page.

If hired for the show, the singer would join Mariah Carey - who reportedly signed on for $18 million - on the judging panel. There is no word yet as to whether Randy Jackson, the remaining judge following the departures of Jennifer Lopez and Steven Tyler, will return for the upcoming season.

Nick JonasNick Jonas wants to appear on Glee. The Jonas Brothers star - who recently made a cameo appearance in NBC's Smash - would love producers on the musical drama series to invite him to take on a guest role.

"I definitely would consider it. I feel like Smash is sort of my statement in that [TV] world, and I really enjoyed that experience. And if there was a Glee opportunity, I would be really open to it. There hasn't been yet, and that's cool. So it's all a matter if they wanted to have me. I'd be totally open to it," he said when asked if he wanted to appear on the show.

Nick has been appearing in Broadway musical How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying and is enjoying his the stint in the show, but admits things haven't always run smoothly: "There have been some funny moments. In my first week, I was still getting comfortable, obviously. On the last show of the week, I completely lost my place in the middle of one of my big lines and, luckily, a castmate helped me out but I completely lost it.''

    Camp Rock

Although the movie didn’t pull in High School Musical 2-sized numbers, Camp Rock did well enough on Friday night to warrant interest in a sequel.

The Disney Channel original, which featured the red-hot , debuted to 8.9 million viewers making it the highest-rated non-sequel to air on that network. (HSM2 had 17.2 million glued to their sets last August.) Rock also outperformed anything from the Top 5 networks on that same night.

Assuming a script is finalized soon (and schedules are coordinated), the key players could get back to work on the sequel’s production sometime next year.

    Jonas Brothers Get Reality Series

Posted by Veronica Santiago Categories: Kids, Music, Reality, Cable, Gossip, News,

Jonas BrothersI couldn’t hum one Jonas Brothers song to you if my life depended on it—but I have a feeling I’ll become quite acquainted with their tunes soon.  The Disney Channel has announced big plans for the three siblings, which means a heavy dose of promotion will shortly follow.

The cable network - already responsible for the popular franchise and that girl we know as - will now be giving the singing trio their own reality program.

The series, currently titled Jonas Brothers: Living the Dream, will show clips of the guys in their daily lives—prepping for their concerts, interacting with family, etc.  The episodes are slated to air sometime this spring.

The overexposure of the brothers will not be limited to this reality skein.  Disney already plans to feature the Jonases in a two-hour movie and a scripted series.
