Sunday Ratings: Three Rivers Goes Upstream

Is Alex O’Loughlin headed for another CBS cancellation, or will the former Moonlight star live to see another season? The answer might not be so clear right now. Last night’s Three Rivers with guest star Mandy Patinkin reached its best demos to date.

8pm

• Approximately 19.1 million watched the Colts beat the Patriots on Sunday Night Football (7.5/18 in 18-49).
• Extreme Makeover: Home Edition (11.6 million, 3.6/9) nailed down 1.2 million more.
• The Amazing Race (11.6 million, 3.2/8) added on 1.1 million.
• The Simpsons (9 million, 4.2/10) did 1.6 million better than last week’s Family Guy; The Cleveland Show (7 million, 3.3/8) hit a demo low.

NCIS: Los Angeles: The new is going to get a little taste of the old when NCIS vet Pauley Perrette makes a special trip. According to Entertainment Weekly, Abby’s crossover to the LA division will involve a kidnapping…hers. Expect high drama - and more high ratings for CBS - on November 24.

Dead Like Me Film Announced - New Season Discussed

Dead Like Me fans will soon have solace for their abruptly ended series.  The show has been dug up, dusted off, and given a new coat of shine for a full-length feature film, that began shooting in late July!  With the exception of Mandy Patinkin, who played the dearly-promoted Rube, the cast has been reassembled to pick up where we left off.  New to the line up is Lost‘s Henry Ian Cusack (should I mention that he once played Jesus?) playing the professional and aloof new leader of our ragtag group of reapers.

I’ve got two questions - does Ellen Muth still look 18, and does sexy Callum Blue, who’s splitting his time between the new film and his role in The Tudors, have lots of screentime?  The official website states that if the film does well enough, Dead Like Me may be resuscitated for a

third season, which is great news for those of us who felt the show was unduly canceled, and strangely appropriate news for a canceled show about the undead.
