This intriguing promo for the 2009 season hints at the reunion we all suspect will come. It also leaves with several other questions: What drives the Oceanic 6 to finally go back? Why is Hurley wielding a gun? Where are Kate and Aaron planning to vacation? Why didn’t the remaining castaways drown when their island disappeared? Arrggh!

Will Lost Ever Make It to the Big Screen?

Even though we’ve been given an end date and been reassured of an overall plan—is it possible we’ll see life on Lost beyond 2010?

In a recent interview with MTV, executive producer admitted that while a theatrical version of the ABC show is unlikely, the possibility is there. Ironically, the program’s co-creator said the predetermined finale is the reason why there could be more story left to tell.

As things stand right now, fans are prepping to say goodbye to the passengers of Oceanic Flight 815 after two more seasons. Had the writers been forced to create episodes indefinitely, the tired storylines could have made a big screen jump pointless.

Sixteen years ago, the binky-sucker uttered her first word with the help of screen legend Elizabeth Taylor. Michelle Rodriguez Returns to Lost

Michelle Rodriguez on LostAccording to Entertainment Weekly, the woman controversially knocked off by Michael will be making a quick return to next year. The one-episode cameo (rumored to be in Episode #2) will mark Ana Lucia’s first appearance since May 2006.

While this casting news is interesting, ‘s stint really shouldn’t come as a surprise. Last season, her co-Tailie, Libby (), paid a special visit to the man who also shot her. Since Michael is now presumably dead, it’s unclear who Ana Lucia may be coming back to haunt.

So I guess the question now is, “When will Mr. Eko return?”

Season 5 of Lost premieres in 2009.

Salary Negotiations for Lost Actors

Lost's Matthew Fox and Evangeline Lilly

From 90210 to Hawaii, salary issues are going on everywhere.

According to the Hollywood Reporter, Matthew Fox and Evangeline Lilly are the latest stars currently asking for a pay increase. The two actors - whose jobs on appear to be safe - have been quietly talking to the bosses about padding their $150,000 per episode paychecks.

As one would expect, news of these negotiations have since prompted others in the cast seek their own adjustments. Considering the majority of the islanders only receive somewhere in the $80,000-$90,000 range, could we blame them?

Will these financial matters ultimately result in a castaway’s early exit? Let’s hope not!

New Characters Coming to Lost

Locke in coffin on LostHopefully you’ve had enough time to digest ‘s Season 4 finale, because we now have more info to throw into the mix. According to Entertainment Weekly, two new characters will be introduced next year. And like many of the players we’ve seen over the years, these two won’t be leaving anytime soon. In fact, these recurring actors will be optioned for possible Season 6 appearances.

So what should we know about these two new entries? Well, as expected, both are being described as intelligent and dangerous. The male, Caesar, reportedly has a “dark past” and is “as skillful at charming people as he is at killing them.” Meanwhile, Ilanna is an “alluring” European female who is “used to getting her own way.” Neither role has yet been cast.

Lost - which doesn’t return until sometime after the new year - resumes production later this month.

On a side note: You can see the producers (Damon Lindelof and Carlton Cuse) addressing the fans of Comic-Con here.

Lost Producers Talk Time Travel at Comic Con Panel

Producers Damon Lindelof and Carlton Cuse appealed to Lost fans everywhere (well, more so those that actually were lucky enough to attend Comic Con) as they graced us with answers tasty enough to almost make us forget that we still have quite awhile to go until Season Five airs on our televisions.

In the clip above, Darlton confirms that in terms of time travel, the fast forwards on Lost can in no way be altered. While the truth failed to hinder my own theories, I cannot say the same for many others’ postulations. I really wish that they could have thrown us a bigger bone, but it is still better than no tidbits to gnaw on.

In other clips (seen after the jump), the producers joke about Mischa Barton, comment on missed characters, and later swear that they actually do know what they are doing!
