Leah Remini Lands Own Reality TV Show

Leah Remini is to star in her own reality TV show.
The Kings of Queens actress, who quit Scientology last year, has been given 12 half-an-hour episode slots by TLC for her untitled program, which began filming today.
"Leah is a no-nonsense, hard-working, relatable mum, wife, daughter, and sister. Her sharp humor and unfiltered family are a perfect match for the network," said Nancy Daniels, TLC's manager.
The 43-year-old star will be joined by her husband Angelo - to whom she has been married for 10 years - and their feisty nine-year-old daughter Sofia, who "isn't afraid to keep her parents in check." The cameras will also capture Leah's opinionated mother, Vicky Marshall, unconventional father, George Remini, and her sister Nicole, who all talk in a secret coded language. There will also be cameo appearances from Leah's housekeeper and personal assistant, and Sofia's impatient British nanny.

Sharon Osbourne Accused of Getting Co-Hosts Fired
Posted by Andru Edwards Categories: Daytime, Talk Shows, CBS, Gossip, Internet, Rumors,
Sharon Osbourne has been accused of getting two stars of The Talk fired.
Leah Remini - who was axed from the discussion show in August along with Holly Robinson Peete - claims the outspoken showbiz matriarch had the pair dismissed because she thought they were "ghetto and awkward."
"Sharon thought me and Holly were 'ghetto'...we were not funny, awkward and didn't know ourselves. She has the power that was given to her," she wrote on her Twitter.
However, Sharon - the wife of rocker Ozzy Osbourne - slammed her "childish" former co-host's claims as "false gossip."
"In response to Leah Remini's continuous comments that I had her fired from The Talk, let me just go on the record to say I had absolutely nothing to do with her departure from the show and have no idea why she continues to take to Twitter to spread this false gossip. Leah knows that I have never been in the position to hire or fire anyone on the show. That being said, my only wish is that Leah would just stop all this negative, unprofessional and childish behavior. It's been seven months ... it's time to move on. Leah is a very talented actress and I only wish her happiness and success. I know that better things are to come if she can just get beyond all this negativity," she wrote on her Twitter.

Sharon Osbourne Taking a Break From The Talk
Posted by Andru Edwards Categories: Daytime, Talk Shows, CBS, Announcements, News,
Sharon Osbourne is taking a break from The Talk to spend more time with her husband. The 58-year-old star insists she is not leaving the discussion program for good, but she will not be on the panel when the show returns after its summer break in September because she wants to be with her spouse, rocker Ozzy Osbourne when he comes off tour.
"I've kept it no secret that I really miss my husband. He'll have been on tour for 18 months by the time it's over. I've spent a lot of time away from him. He gets a break at the end of September and so I've asked for a little break so I can be with him. I don't want to give it up. It's a great, great show. We've all worked really hard over the last year. I'm not going to walk away from that. I just need some real good quality time to be with my hubby."
One reason Sharon wants to return is the close bond she has with co-hosts Julie Chen, Sara Gilbert, Holly Robinson Peete and Leah Remini: "I'm very close to the women on the show. I didn't think that I would be [because] none of us knew each other going into it. We just didn't know each other socially."
Sharon's close friend, however, America's Got Talent host Nick Cannon thinks The Talk will struggle without her. "She's marvelous. She's the caregiver to us all. She just calms us all down."
VIDEO: Meet the Women of The Talk
Posted by K.C. Morgan Categories: Daytime, Talk Shows, CBS, Video,
The six women of The Talk (Sara Gilbert, Sharon Osbourne, Leah Remini, Holly Robinson Peete, Julie Chen and Marissa Jaret Winokur) talked a great deal to Entertainment Tonight cameras. The crew stopped by a photo shoot for the series to ask each of the ladies how she felt about her five co-hosts. You can view the results in the video above.
The Talk is a highly-anticipated new talk show, scheduled to debut on CBS October 18. Each of the six women are mothers, with children ranging in ages. They will spend their time discussing current events, sharing stories and talking to the studio audience. Somewhere in the midst of it all, they’ll take the time to conduct interviews with celebs.

TV Alums Have Babies
Posted by Wendy Michaels Categories: Comedy, Drama, King of Queens, Internet,
Two big baby announcements—courtesy of two past television stars. First up, Felicity‘s Keri Russell and hubby Shane Deary welcomed baby boy River Russell on June 9th. This is the first baby for the pair, who were married on Valentine’s Day after dating for a few years. She recently appeared on the big screen in Waitress, and you may remember her from a guest-starring gig on Scrubs. Her appearance on the comedy only stands out to me because I thought she didn’t bring much to the role. And in other baby news… King of Queens’ star Kevin James added a second daughter to his growing family. Wife (and model—lucky guy!), Steffania De La Cruz, gave birth to baby Shea Joelle on June 14th. She’ll be joining big sis Sienna-Marie, who will be three this fall. James, you’ll recall, finished up the final season (number nine) of King of Queens this year and can be seen in theaters soon in I Now Pronounce You Chuck and Larry with Adam Sandler. On a side note, I checked out one episode of his co-star Leah Remini’s new web series In the Motherhood, and it’s very funny (also includes comedian Chelsea Handler, who is too funny). Anyway, worth checking out!

Leah Remini Stars in Mommy Webisodes
Posted by Wendy Michaels Categories: Comedy, Daytime, Prime Time, Talk Shows, King of Queens, Internet,
If you need a Leah Remini fix, look no further than MSN in May. She is, of course, on the verge of signing off from The King of Queens, after nine years on the air. Remini will appear in a webisode series about motherhood, with the story lines submitted by real-life moms. In the Motherhood begins May 11th on MSN at http://www.inthemotherhood.com. Over the course of five episodes, three women friends (who are moms) reveal their “ever-hectic but always humorous” lives. The webisodes are the result of visitor nominations for the best entries that have been submitted, including worst public meltdown and funniest potty training story. But that’s not all—the webisodes can also be seen on Suave and Sprint, as well as on The Ellen DeGeneres Show. Each episode is just five minutes, so (while I’m not a big Remini fan), it may be worth a look.
