Daytime talk show has become the No Excuses jeans of the new millenium. You remember No Excuses jeans, right? No Excuses Sportswear spent the late 80’s and early 90’s capitalizing on infamous media stories by using the women involved in those stories to model their cheesy blue jeans. Donna Rice (disgraced Presidential Candidate Gary Hart’s “Monkey Business” lap mate) and Marla Maples (the reason for Donald and Ivana Trump’s divorce) are just a couple of the flash-in-the-pan media darlings who squeezed into a pair of No Excuses for a quick buck and some extra noteriety.

Midwest Town Worried About ‘Armed & Famous’ Celebs

Posted by Wendy Michaels Categories: Prime Time, Reality, CBS,

Erik EstradaHas anyone else checked out the latest reality show entry, Armed & Famous? Nah, me neither—and it has some folks in the town where it takes place a bit concerned. If you’re not familiar with it, Armed & Famous gives some B-list celebrities guns and minimal police training, then lets them hit the streets of Muncie, IN to enforce the law. The celebrities include Erik Estrada (who came the closest of the other celebs when he played a cop on CHiPs), La Toya Jackson, Jack Osbourne, wrestler Trish Stratus, and Jackass star “Wee Man.” The show hasn’t received much love from critics either, with New York Post critic Linda Stasi saying, “Maybe they should have called it Armed & Stupid.” The highlight for Stasi was when the stars had to be hit with a 50,000 volt Taser stungun. Hmmm, maybe they should make a reality show out tasering celebs.
