Amber Riley Wins ‘Dancing with the Stars’

Amber Riley and Derek HoughAmber Riley has won Dancing with the Stars.

The Glee actress and her professional partner Derek Hough have taken home this year's mirrorball trophy after triumphing over High School Musical actor Corbin Bleu and his professional partner Karina Smirnoff with a perfect-scoring samba/quickstep fusion.

"Anything that scares me I want to do. You can do whatever, whatever, whatever you put your mind to," Amber said, speaking after the result was announced.

And despite coming second, Corbin was just delighted to have taken part: "I thank God for this experience. I thank my family."

Earlier in the evening, Jack Osbourne - whose sister Kelly came third on the show in 2009 - and his partner Cheryl Burke were eliminated into third place after the first round of dances. "I'm definitely not a better dancer than my sister, for one. We're both tied. Just going the distance for me was winning enough," he said.

Quote of the Day: DWTS’ Karina Smirnoff on The Situation

“I’m trying things with Mike that I would never even attempt to try with anyone else. Definitely the best partner ever. I would never ask for anyone different.”

-Dancing with the Stars complimenting her partner, Mike “The Situation” Sorrentino, after they scored 28 out of 60 points last night. (Hmm—has she already forgotten about getting to the finals with ex-boyfriend Mario Lopez?)

DWTS’ Steve Wozniak Injured Again

Steve WozniakSteve Wozniak’s problems have just moved up his leg.

According to E! Online, the Apple co-founder is now dealing with more than just a foot fracture. Earlier this weekend, Wozniak pulled a hamstring during rehearsals.

Although host Tom Bergeron says Steve is “determined to be there on Monday and dance,” one source claims the injured celebrity has been “limping pretty badly.”

So what would this mean for should her partner be permanently sidelined? “The only thing it will impact is if there is one week we were going to have a double elimination and we wouldn’t do that. But we’d still eliminate someone. So if [he] can’t dance this week, we’re still going to knock somebody else out anyway because that’s the way we roll,” Bergeron explained.

(You can find all the Dancing with the Stars: Season 8 posts here.)
