2011 Golden Globe Nominations (TV)

The Golden Globe contenders for the 2010-11 season were officially announced Tuesday morning in Beverly Hills by Katie Holmes, Josh Duhamel and Blair Underwood.
Last year's Best Comedy Series winner, Glee, lead all television programs with a total of five nominations. Five series -- 30 Rock, Boardwalk Empire, Dexter, The Good Wife and Mad Men -- tied for second place with three nods each.
Here are some of the notable omissions/inclusions from this year's list of nominees:
- The Good Wife was the only non-cable series to be recognized for Best Drama.
- The Walking Dead replaced that other horror series (True Blood), giving AMC two nominations in the Drama category.
- The limitations of the Best Supporting Actor category meant only two acting noms for the cast of Modern Family.
- Jennifer Love Hewitt has found herself pitted against Claire Danes ... and Dame Judi Dench.
The 68th Annual Golden Globe Awards -- hosted again by Ricky Gervais -- will air Jan. 16 on NBC.
