Is the Miss Universe Pageant Rigged?

Posted by K.C. Morgan Categories: Prime Time, Reality, Specials, Gossip, Rumors, Video,

Choreographer Michael Schwandt, who’s worked on the last four pageants, recently spilled a few behind-the-scenes secrets in an interview. Schwandt says that pageant owner Donald Trump - and not the panel of judges - decides which contestants will make it to the final round.

“He pops in the day before the telecast, and we line up all the girls in alphabetical order,” he explained. “He [Trump] basically walks by and has an assistant that takes notes. And it’s just kind of common knowledge that he picks six of the top fifteen single-handedly.”

The Sad Reality (Shows) of Summer

Pirate Master

After , like Charlie, went into the great beyond (well, at least until 2008), my TiVo has become a vast, barren wasteland.  Like any TV-deprived person, I’ve upped my Netflix queue, but that’s not enough.  I’m still jonesing for new episodes of television, and lo and behold, these past two weeks I got to see the premiere of two new reality shows, “Ex-Wives Club” and “Pirate Master.”  My thoughts now?

It’s going to be a long summer.
