Tina Fey Hopes for Drunk Celebrities

Amy Poehler and Tina FeyTina Fey hopes the celebrities at the Golden Globe Awards get drunk and embarrass themselves.

The 30 Rock star will co-host the ceremony with her friend Amy Poehler, but the duo believe alcohol will help make the night more entertaining and are hoping those attending will drink lots.

"Because it's such a fun kind of sloppy night, it's not really about the host giving any kind of big comedy performance. It's our job to keep things moving and also try to get the movie stars more liquored-up so that hopefully someone's boob will fall out of a dress. That's our main role. The luckiest we could get would be for something interesting and spontaneous to happen. We have a lot of spontaneous things planned," Tina said.

However, Parks and Recreation star Amy joked she is going on a pub-crawl before the ceremony on Sunday: "I'm going to pub-crawl it all the way to the venue and then try to take a two-hour blackout nap before we start, and then as soon as the show is over, I'm going to go on a 10-day juice cleanse."

The pair - who were Saturday Night Live co-stars and worked on several projects together, including Mean Girls and Baby Mama - have known each other since their pre-fame days working with Chicago's Second City improv troupe. One can only imagine the laughs the two comediennes will generate when they take to the hosting stage on January 13.

Jonah Hill Mocked by Tom Hanks

Tom Hanks and Jonah Hill on last week's SNL

Jonah Hill was put in his place by Tom Hanks during Saturday Night Live over the weekend. The Moneyball actor hosted the NBC show on Saturday, and his monologue started with him talking about how proud he was to have been nominated for an Academy Award last month, despite losing out to silent film The Artist.

"It's been a great year for me. I was in a film I am extremely proud of. Even though The Artist won best picture, I still think Moneyball was one of this year's best talkies," he said.

He then went to a pre-taped routine about his week behind the scenes, which shows him telling the SNL cast to follow his lead because he's an "Oscar nominee."

Ricky Gervais Won’t Host Golden Globes Again

Posted by Andru Edwards Categories: Award Shows, NBC, Internet, News,

Ricky Gervais hosts the Golden Globes 2012Ricky Gervais will not host the Golden Globe Awards again. The comedian - who aimed a number of crude jokes at celebrities in the audience when he fronted the event in Los Angeles on Sunday - has instructed his agent not to let him present the ceremony for a fourth time because he doesn't enjoy the prestigious hosting role until the evening is over.

Writing on his official blog, Ricky - who came under fire after insulting several celebrities in the audience while hosting the spectacle in 2011 - said, "Thank f**k that's over. I had a blast actually. It was by far my favorite of the three hosting stints. I've told my agent to never let me be persuaded to do it again though. It's like a parachute jump. You can only really enjoy it in retrospect when you realize you didn't die and it was quite an amazing thing to do."

The 50-year-old star's latest jibes saw him joke about Jodie Foster's sexuality and poke fun at Justin Bieber's recent paternity scandal - but he thinks the audience understood his crude comedy a lot more this time around: "The crowd were great this year too. I think they finally worked out that my gags only seemed rude and nasty but were actually not too scary at all. Or they were just drunker. Either way, it was fun but I'm glad to say I'm off to New York to chill out a bit."
